Thanks for the comment David but it wasn't £250. DVLA plates start from £250, but those which have a meaning, word, name etc are priced higher by the DVLA (see examples below).
I picked the plate before knowing if I'd get a GT4 or Spyder slot and wasn't as fortunate as some.
