Very marmite I know. But it's just a bit of fun they can be easily changed. It's P674MAN.
It's the correct width but due to the font size it comes out about 20MM shorter.
I have plenty of other reg numbers I can put on it in a bit.
Fair enough if its a bit of fun, but the star is the car! Why soil it with that awful plate and font? It's the correct width but due to the font size it comes out about 20MM shorter.

Instead of stickers, has anyone considered using pads to stick an official plate to the front of the car, rather than using the mounting bracket supplied by Porsche. Is it possible with the curve? Just thinking from the point of view causing no damage from screw holes etc.
Not possible by the the looks of the front bumper shape. If you try to stick on a standard acrylic plate on there isn't enough 'flat' surface for it to be steady / secure. If you look at BigMowley's pic below you can see that his (non-acrylic) stick on is much narrower to fit in the little recess :-
It might be possible to stick the standard plinth on rather than screwing but having screw holes is only really an issue if you wanted to revert back from a screwed on plinth to a non-acrylic stick on. Even then you may be able to plug the holes and stick it over the top without them showing.
Having the plinth on looks like it might provide a little protection from those little parking Devils and their 4x4 towbars.
I'd just ask for the plinth and fixings to be left in the boot for you to fit yourself either using screws or pads. Trim tape is also perfect for this and it won't fall off if you have enough coverage area.

I thought the same regarding the curve, until Tim posted up this image stating that he's had no trouble with it stuck on with pads only in a few thousand miles. If you look at BigMowley's pic below you can see that his (non-acrylic) stick on is much narrower to fit in the little recess :-

I might do without a plate on the front (penalty is £30!) but have this plan in action ready.

I'm planning on running without a front plate too, have one in the boot if I get stopped and say it fell off! Spoke to a chap at Porsche yesterday and he said he has several customers who don't run a front plate at all and have never been stopped!I might do without a plate on the front (penalty is £30!) but have this plan in action ready.
