The Glasgow car belonged to DMC2.
He said it was only for sale for a week, and I was sure it was advertised at £106k because I remember it being more than mine.
Ok great, I'll update. Hope your car sells soon, would have been tempted given how close it is to me, but sadly wrong seats for my personal taste He said it was only for sale for a week, and I was sure it was advertised at £106k because I remember it being more than mine.

I wanted the 918 seats based on looks alone, but in reality I would have got annoyed on a long journey.
Mind you, I spent hours in the 458 racing seats and they were great for comfort and looks.
At least you spec'd the car based on what you wanted, rather than what the market desired, so fair play. Might be passing the dealership over the weekend, probably won't be able to resist the urge to have another look at it.Mind you, I spent hours in the 458 racing seats and they were great for comfort and looks.

£109k with a big spec (carbons etc), but no cage. Looks stunning.
My resolve breaks a little more every time I see another of these great cars being flipped, and instantly selling for 6 figures. Unfortunately it may be time to start looking at another brand
I feel for you Must be gutting missing out on one and then seeing all the people who DID get one, selling them to make a quick buck.My resolve breaks a little more every time I see another of these great cars being flipped, and instantly selling for 6 figures. Personally if I had £110k to spend on a toy I would be down to the nearest McLaren dealer to buy a (good as new) MP4 12C! Looks awesome and its a bloody proper supercar (I know its an auto not a manual)

Silly question and i probably know the answer already but are you allowed to test drive these cars?
Also, are you know allowed to compare them to what else is on the second hand market even if car has delivery miles on?
Why would they let you drive one when the first owner hasn't even bothered? A test drive would probably put on more mileage than some have sat on the forecourt! Also, are you know allowed to compare them to what else is on the second hand market even if car has delivery miles on?
Compared to secondhand..... This Mp4 12C is up for £115k http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...
Granted its wearing 5800 odd miles but that is nothing really!
Cayman or a Carbon Tub McLaren with a 600HP V8?
I've thought a lot about MP4 12C. Even though it represents a whole lot of car for the money, it's still the greater risk in terms of continued depreciation and the running costs are substantially greater in terms of servicing and warranty renewal.
Porsche GT cars are difficult to move away from even when paying over list.

4 year old Mclaren v all but new GT4. No contest. The smart money is on the GT4.....
Yes you could drive the Porsche for a couple of years and sell it for what you paid.Buy the McLaren for £115,000 and in 2 years time it will sell for £85,000 if you are lucky. Plus the running costs will be in a different league.
I accept the 12C is the better car but it will cost you a £30,000 pounds more than the GT4 over 2 years.
