Read an article about the 911 R's box the other day...apparently the gearing is too short for it ever to be used in mainstream 911's (i.e. non GT) because of the impact the gearing has on fuel economy. Also a manual box is a complete non starter when it comes to hybrid/energy regeneration too hard to integrate because with an auto/pdk its easier to predict what we humanoids are going to do.

72-hours of in-depth discussions with the missus has negated any sensible progress on putting a deposit on a GT4 and she isn't keen on any seat that isn't comfortable. Bucket seats may be out in her eyes, but in mine they're a must. I'll revisit to see what around in January in the hope that prices haven't rocketed in the interim

Something tells me the Redline Carmine Red GT4 which has just come for sale is the one which was recently sold for £73k?? Unless I am mistaken? Sigh....

1. Can't see prices changing upwards between now and Jan.
2. Buckets are super comfy once you learn how to get in and out of them.

Only thing missing in Gt4 Im getting is buckets and wish they were on it..... but I was at my Porsche dealer today and tried some in a Cayman GTS and they were a proper hassle getting in and out of haha!

I have carbon buckets on my GTS and they are a different seat to the 918 buckets fitted to then GT4. I'd agree mine are a bit of a pain but I'm short and quite flexible and can live with them, the GT4 buckets I've found (on purely showroom use) far easier to get in and out of

I guess the "Tonbridge" GT silver car is the best one by a county mile sans stickers.
and some ones still nackered the bucket bolster within 230 Miles !!!!

Or the white leic car if you want CS.

all the others look sub par for the money imo.

although not as bad as the yellow one which is shocking and must have had a 25 stone owner !

Well come xmas it will be time for me to sell my GT4 as my new dogleg V12VS has arrived, so I called my OPC earlier to get a feel for a price on SOR or an outright sale basis. He was of course keen to talk down the price, he actually said "ohh yes, but there are loads up for sale now - more than there are Cayenne's in fact". LOL, yeah right!

Anyway, if anybody is serious about wanting a mint 1800mile Yellow GT4 Mar'16 Reg, 1 owner (me), with PCCB, 918 buckets, full carbon, extended leather, PCM and LOADS of toys then PM me, as I might consider a private sale at xmas. Failing that it will be going up with somebody, but unlikely to be my OPC unless he and the handful of naysayers on this thread have it right.

Ref over list , it can be hard to get your head around but I paid £10k over for the Spyder I bought after the GT4 . Bought with 190miles did 3000m including the NC500 and got my money back ( from a Porsche dealer ! ) I think a Clubsport GT4 is probably a pretty safe place at low £80's . Pending news on 991.2 GT3's delivery dates I'm very tempted to have this back for next spring .

Hi yes I thought we had met before. Yes still got the GT3 RS no intention of selling and hope I never need too.
New GT3 I don't stand a chance of getting so not even going to ask, current 991 GT3 I would need to free some cash from the 997 to justify and that's not going to happen so only really leaves a GT4. I agree and low /mid 80's it should be safe money.

Don't worry over my spec, it's not relevant to the thread.

I am not ignoring the PCCB cars but they are £100k not £90k, it's a given full spec plus PCCB will be more !
