12 GT4's for sale on PistonHeads and growing

buckets are essential imv, adds more to the experience, has lots of extra side support when cornering/makes you feel more in touch with the road + you can brag about having the seats from the 918 hypercar
I personally wouldn't buy a gt4 without them
buckets + no aircon would be my pref

I am on selling my Spyder at the moment and am looking to sell it quickly due to a house purchase so have been phoning round getting trade bids , speaking with a few dealers about the market regarding both Spyders and Gt4s , the seats appear to have more of a bearing on price that a lot would imagine , 2 dealers said they would not bid on either car for stock if they did not have buckets, picking the bones from what I have heard this week I would suggest anyone trading a Gt4 at the moment is looking at getting around £5k over list with buckets and that figure would less with the arm chairs fitted.

Case rested. The £5k over list is obviously subject to age, spec, colour and mileage
Buckets in a GT3 are quite clearly crucial to maximising price.......no reason why both the GT4 and Spyder would be any different.
There never was a case, the markets demanded buckets in these cars for 15 plus years, to say other wise make one look a bit daft.
But then dealers and even the top specialist still don't learn ! and that's what sits stuck for sale prices dropping, to apoint getting a bargain and retrofitting buckets back in can work very well.

If thats the case why not just have all GT cars with buckets.....But then dealers and even the top specialist still don't learn ! and that's what sits stuck for sale prices dropping, to apoint getting a bargain and retrofitting buckets back in can work very well.
because rich 1st time buyers don't care that much and as cars fetch overs they can have what seats they like.
But the 2nd hand market is way off what the new market asks for.
also some cars came with buckets standard and were a no cost option delete which people did ! even dealer pre orders !!!
Markets learning as dealers are setting stung, but it's taken 15 years for some to realise !

how can you say this going by 15 years of GT3 sales, Cayman R sales and now the sold OPC GT4 list lol
Buckets are a given in GT cars even more so 2nd hand.
If you look at the prices asked in medianuk's list, that doesn't seem to be borne out. Cardiff has what appear to be 2 more or less identical cars one with buckets, one with 18 way sports seats - same price. Buckets do look the biz and that is why most are specified. But for those who are trying to use the car as something other than a weekend hoon or track day 18 ways are a more sensible choice. Buckets are a given in GT cars even more so 2nd hand.
In the longer term you may well be right about prices, but prices for GT cars long term have little to with practicality - because it becomes uneconomic to drive the bloody things.

If you want to spend £90k buy a 991 GTS that being the sensible choice over a GT4 for a daily, has the PDK so many love, 18 ways seats, reverse sensors, a better engine, and a good radio options. As for the asking price of the "Cardiff" cars, who cares, we only care about the sold cars, people can ask what price they like.
Both "Cardiff" cars are sans leather also, so good luck with that atm.
EVERY listed SOLD car has had leather !

I did call the dealer and have been waiting for a cost to change from my GTS to this for a week now............doesn't look like there interested.
I have been in a similar situation, this is most probably down to the car being SOR meaning they would have to buy yours in as a px which may not make it viable unless they kick you down low! Porsche911R said:

I would have to disagree, I don't see the point in having buckets on there own. They need to be with a club sport pack.Buckets are a given in GT cars even more so 2nd hand.

Out of interest what is the most desirable and least desirable exterior colour on a Gt4?
looking at the list all looks even.Colours I don't like are
Rodium.
Black.
some PTS fiat 500 colours !
when I ordered, the colour choice was very ltd, I had a choice of about 4 !!! 3 of the main colors were off the list !!! unless I had normal seats.
So I took buckets over colour in the end. early orders were a right mess.
I think Carmine GT4's look stunning and so does GT silver with yellow, and PCCB's
PTS, well Voodoo and Slate grey look great and would be a future choice.

+1 fixed belts (if you are serious) are probably more important than seats. But most people simply wouldn't put up with fixed belts on the road (and they don't have the same kudos..)Porsche911R said:

That says it all. Leather is the silliest choice for a sports car - far too slippy. (Forgetting about too hot in summer and too cold in winter). As I say it's about image, look - not functionality/practicality. Edited by Porsche911R on Wednesday 7th December 19:31
