That says it all. Leather is the silliest choice for a sports car - far too slippy. (Forgetting about too hot in summer and too cold in winter). As I say it's about image, look - not functionality/practicality.
Leather is dash and door cards not seats . It's actually also gives alcantara on lower dash and doors . Makes a huge difference to the interior . Best value option I've seen on a Porsche .bcr5784 said:

I don't sit on the dash, buckets are Alcantara ;-)plastic dash looks cheap in a £90k car and reflects more light at night onto the windscreen.

I did call the dealer and have been waiting for a cost to change from my GTS to this for a week now............doesn't look like there interested.
I have been in a similar situation, this is most probably down to the car being SOR meaning they would have to buy yours in as a px which may not make it viable unless they kick you down low! I'm going to wait until next year now, I'm not even using my GTS, but i do buy my cars on impulse.

Out of interest what is the most desirable and least desirable exterior colour on a Gt4?
Traditional Porsche GT colours of white and red are arguably probably the best....and cheapest too! For some reason I personally do not like white on the GT4 of which there appear lots for sale but do like white on the GT3......pure, slightly cheeky, safe and with road presence. Easy to keep smart too.Whilst Sapphire blue and Agate grey are non GT, they are rarer and appear quite popular. 'Free' platinum stitching with the crucial leather option looks best imo and a bonus for the first owner too.
As with the 991 GT3, black is quite rare and desirable....residually one of the best colours.

Mines in Agate Grey. Something someone finds desirable at last!!! haha!!Whilst Sapphire blue and Agate grey are non GT, they are rarer and appear quite popular. 'Free' platinum stitching with the crucial leather option looks best imo and a bonus for the first owner too.

I'm chuffed to bits with the colour combination of my Sapphire Blue with black wheels, and the Platinum stitching inside; works well. No regrets.GT4P said:
The one I drove last year at the PEC was the black one with chairs and ceramics! Wonder if it is still there or sold on?
There's one with that spec at OPC Bristol for £96k but it doesn't say it's ex Porsche launch car. Would be an ideal road only car imho, a lovely colour combination with the yellow stitching and PCCBs. BubblesNW said:

I love that. It looks fantastic in black with yellow callipers and yellow stitching with carbon.Having spent a bit of time in the sports seats in my GTS I really wouldn't mind not having the buckets and you get to heat your butt when its cold.
Looks great...

I hate Sapphire Blue on the normal Cayman, but on the GT4 with black wheels and the black touches, it just works...for me personally.
That's because you're wrong. Obviously Guards Red is the best colour and Focker will back me up on this. Full leather, platinum stitching and wheels could just be the future unicorn....Guess what mine is
