12 GT4's for sale on PistonHeads and growing

It's one hell of an increase in numbers for what is a cracking engine compared to the 4 cyl 718.

It's crept up over the last couple of months from a low of around 5 to the current 20. Boxster GTSs have gone from 1-2 to 10 as well. It's the time of year to change.

Like the GT4, It'll settle down once the cars get into the hands of the enthusiasts who want the last non-GT Cayster with an NA engine.

GTS values holding up nicely...

I can see the n/a gts caymans holding value very well, especially with the poor reviews of the 718 engine note and driving characteristics. Shame really as the tunability of the 718 is very appealing. Had a play on the configurator and once I was done the 2.5 718 Cayman was up at 75k ish. That's 20k over base.

I've just specced up a Cayman S to as close as I can to the spec of my CGTS. It came out at £71,500, around £10k more than my car cost under 12 months ago.

That's a big jump, and it's no wonder GTSs are holding their value....

Just looking at GT4 prices and Reading have a CS car in with a goods spec for £87900 which is the second cheapest on there with only 5k miles.
It seems that PCCB's are far more valued than club sport on the used market? In fact CS counts for very little judging by the ads?

That's mine - great car. Pics from last week below. As for Nav, 1) I doubt it would return me any more on the car beyond the initial cost and 2) I'm an investor in Navdy which personally I find much more effective...

The blue Swindon one (£83,000) went within 48 odd hours. It was well priced I think.

Significant amount of movement in the last week, down to just 16 GT4's on the OPC network. 3 new cars added (Reading, Colchester, Tewkesbury) and a massive 8 sold or removed (Swindon, Wolverhampton x2, Guildford, Hatfield, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Brooklands). I'd speculate that the buyers are those missing out on the GT3 and realising what great value the GT4 is in that sports car range.

When you look at the spec, it was a bargain. Makes you wonder if it was an ex PEC car though. Swindon seem to have a lot of ex Porsche cars.
If the reg started with an 'R' then it was highly likely in my opinion as it was a great spec for the price.

Crikey, that is a lot of movement. I think you could be right as they're good value when you now consider that the GT3 is £111,000 without spec so even a poverty spec car is going to be in the high hundred teens.
We're only in March!! I see there are still 18 Cayman GTS' on the used locator. I reckon a few owners have been getting themselves into the GT4 realising that the price seems to be stable now and the realisation that they're not coming down any time soon.
