Not so sure that we will see that many more NA gt cars! Perhaps the 991.2 gt3 will be the last one!
Or will it at all? Lots of speculation the '17 RSR 911 race car will be middle ish engine and turbo's. Recent press shots didnt show the back of the car at all. Where does that leave its road going sibling..Ok, finally found a little bit of time to update this thread, though I've worked entirely off Pistonheads ads, not Autotrader, though it hasn't really influenced the stats.
So, of the 39 cars listed on PH, only 32 are valid, because 1 car is advertised at 4 locations (suspect a chain of car dealers), 1 has no detail whatsoever, and 1 is a wanted ad.
19 cars have been removed since I last did an update, most of which were marked as sold, so clearly the market remains strong, though maybe just at a lower price point than before.
The average is £99,475 with a low of £89,990 and a high of £114,950. Interestingly there are quite a few cars with just sports seats (7), and quite a few cars with odd spec choices like PBBC with sports seats, or Carbon trim with no Leather. This may be skewing the price a little (downwards).
Of the cars available, the best 'grand-tourer' spec has to be the John Holland Black car at £89,990, including PCM, Phone etc). The best 'track' spec would be the Lodge Motor Company White car at £92,995 which has race seats, clubsport, but no PCCB. The best 'balls out' spec car is GVE London's Red GT4 at £102,900 which has pretty much everything.
There are 13 cars with PCCB, 5 cars with Clubsport, only 3 without PCM, only 1 without Phone Prep, and only 6 without leather.
We have 6 Agate Grey, 2 Black, 2 GT Silver, 4 Red, 1 Rhodium Silver (looks it anyway, doesn't say), 5 Sapphire Blue, 1 Viper Green, 8 White (haven't broken down into flat or met) and 3 Yellow.
What does all this say about the market? Difficult to know because the EU situation is stalling investors/buyers not only in this industry, but others too, but certainly the price point for a decent GT4 is now in the £90k range, with a low spec car in the £80k range. Will these cars ever see list again? Doubt it, unless a new GT4 with NA engine is released in the next 2 years.

- all in my opinion of course
Thank you firstly for getting this thread back on topic and secondly, for providing some interesting data. It will indeed be intriguing to see what the future brings for these cars, but like you, I'm of the opinion that they will never return to list price. Nice for those that have one, not so for those wanting one, like me!!

Well I'm planning on retaining mine for 12 months (about standard for me on sports cars), so we shall see. One things for sure, my order contract prevents resale within 6 months for more than list.mdianuk said:

I'm going to predict that there will be some for sale at sub-£80K by late Autumn (close to original list for a high specced GT4).- all in my opinion of course
Also in my opinion and just putting it here for posterity to look back when we're into October. I have no inside knowledge or one to sell.

Where is that stated, if you mind me asking?
I have it on my "Vehicle Order" form, which is basically the request for payment sheet. It is specific to the dealer though, so unsure they all have it. It states (if you are interested):- The Buyer makes the following representations upon which the Seller relies:
- The Vehicle is bought by the Buyer for its own use and will be registered in the Buyers name;
- The Buyer is not buying the Vehicle for the purpose of re-sale and will not re-sell for the purpose of making a profit within 6 months of purchase; and
- The Buyer will not export the Vehicle outside of the EU or the EFTA during the first 6 months following purchase.
Obviously, all irrelevant to me, as I wouldn't be selling within that timeframe, but anyway...

Anyone?
I only have the pricing for the base car (£64,451) and the options I bought, but I'm sure the brochure has them all.mdianuk said:

The brochure I have doesn't give any prices at all. It's the option prices I'm interested in mainly to help me establish the list price of cars for sale when first registered.I do not think you can find out now unless you have the Configurator Code that was used to spec the car in the first place . I can still go back in with the code on my car and see the cost per item specified .If you have a item in question perhaps a owner could say how much said item was ie Rear Camera .Seat belts coloured .etc

Just ask all the dealers to tell you and explain that you need this to compare the % markups on various cars . After narrowing down / before you go ahead , ask to see a copy of the invoice for the car you plan to buy before depositing - simples RSVP911 said:

Are you comfortable with the current prices but haven't found the right spec? Are you looking for prices to drop slightly but still willing to pay a small premium? or, Are you waiting for prices to drop back to list or below, providing it is within a set time period?
some one just bought a Yellow one ;-)
these will not go below list, look at 991 GT3 prices and 997.1 GT3 prices, most people would still choose a GT4 at £85k over the 2005 997.1 30k mile GT3.
The cheapest GT4 with buckets and leather is £93k.

waiting to see if investors get their fingers burnt for fueling the bubble.
Dont give me this s*** that the cars are worth 90-100k and porsche should have sold them for this amount as its a RHD bubble and thats all it is
A lot of people have been waiting and hoping for a Cayman like this. They are not investors but enthusiasts. Dont give me this s*** that the cars are worth 90-100k and porsche should have sold them for this amount as its a RHD bubble and thats all it is
I would not take £100K for mine and know what other cars that sort of money would buy.
