Nope, I was too late to the party on that one.

Selling the GTS already? frown (I know you want an RS).
I could have already sold it....at quite a decent price. Currently holding off.

It's a tough sell because it's probably marginally too early to see where the RS is heading. And the GTS is (I think), stunning.

Sorry a bit off topic here but I reckon that the GTS will do well. Its being bolstered by the 997 GTS of which seem to be going up very slightly.
If you think about it, now that 993's have shot up, especially the 'S' and 'Turbo' variants, the GTS is a natural candidate for an increase.
Nicer looking than the 996 and very much more like a 993 in shape plus you can have a manual and non turbo engine with decent steering.

I reckon we'll see 997 GTS' at 100k before too long. Certainly a good buy now in low mileage good condition manual 2wd form - if you can find one!

Another reason why I'm loath to sell it too soon too cheaply - not that mine is advertised cheaply but my offers are circa £10K below asking price. I think it's a very safe place to be given colour, spec and easily the lowest mileage around.

PS...I appreciate that the colour isn't for everyone smile

Was it your intention to buy the GTS and sell for a premium from the beginning? Nice move if so, always harder buying second hand and realising a profit.

£115K is list on that car.

I bought it because I loved the car...everything about it. I still do.

As you know, it's advertised because I'm seriously considering an RS. First step in achieving that is selling one of my current cars.

Who knows where any car is heading price wise?

£100k for a 997 GTS ?!?! fk me that's punchy and I own said manual 2wd! For that to happen things like 997 GT3's need to be well over £100k.

If I didn't "need" the extra flexibility a 911 gives I'd be seriously looking at a Boxster Spyder.

It is punchy but until a turbo engine can give instant throttle response, n/a cars will be held in high regard.
Just look at prices of 993 c2s and c4s due to being of the last air cooled. 997 GTS prices will just keep rising but condition and mileage will obviously play a part and manuals over pdk. I really don't like the pdk box in that generation. It ruined my Cayman R.

Hang onto that car!

+1 I wanted mine with PDK having spent many thrilling miles in yours. I can't fault it. Must be down to the user to get the best out of it. wink
