+1.

Back on topic, I see CG motors had a GT4 priced at £87k which eventually sold at £85-86k I assume. I called and got info on the car. Still looking myself for a reasonably priced one.
Not saying this car was in the same 'category'biggrin:.....but they evidently do have 'form' including the reshelled black GT3 which was returned several times following 'non disclosure'.

Im guessing it owes you about £79k based on the figures you mentioned earlier, by the time the opc takes a margin you will only clear a small profit I guess.

What are you changing it for ???
I'm changing for a GTS just as i have always wanted one.
I think it might pay you to whip it out of your OPC and look for a PX against your next car with another dealer. It is amazing once the dealer owns the car how much quicker it sells. Mine sold less than a week after my px and it was 'high' mileage and at a high selling price. My guess is the OPC already had someone lined up but from my POV everyone was a winner - they have shifted 2 cars and I'm in the car I want at the cost of change I was after without waiting for mine to sell before I could buy.
Good condition/spec 991GTS are a little rare atm, but they are there. Have you looked at the carmine red at Tewksbury or the white one at Reading? Both pretty good specs, condition Unknown. There's also a great spec red one for sale privately at a nice price but then you still have the problem of selling your car.

Incidentally - for those talking about numbers the Q2 figures are now showing up on the DVLA database (the one that feeds HowManyLeft). Far fewer delivered in Q2 (74) than Q1 (243) implies that they are tailing off dramatically. The total of new registrations up to mid year is thus 542. We will of course have to wait another 3 months to find out what the Q3 number was for the overall total, but it all points to around 600 cars in the UK as the likely final number I reckon.

[For context: 335 991 GT3s by the time production ended, 265 991 RSs so far (to end of Q2, but there are Q3 cars and will be Q4 too). The most common flavour of manual GT3 (the most functionally equivalent to the GT4) was the 997.1 - 248 UK cars].
keep up disco I posted this last week on the 'prospective 981 gt4 owners'
"right dvla numbers update to 30.06.16
225 for 2015
317 up to 30.06.16
total UK registered cars to 30.06.16 equals 542!
UK total will be circa 550"
So the GT4 will be less of a rarity than a GTS?

Haha this one made me chuckle, if they offer you a 991 gen2 gt3 build slot they will not be paying you list for your used gt4!!

I would of read that as 317 cars as of 30.06.16,

not 542 as of 30.06.16

Like the other poster mentioned this may work out to be the best option if they have good margin in the 991 you are looking to purchase. Good luck and I hope all goes to plan.

Counted 33 GT4's for sale on another car selling site. They are hanging around for longer too.
There's currently around 47 for sale on piston heads as of today.
There are presently over 360 cars for sale in Europe, one third of them has less than 200 km on the clock and almost half of the ads went online in the last 30 days. I expected a few punters to offload their cars before winter for a profit but the scale is surprising. There are considerably less GTS for sale than GT4s.
I'd love to know the reasons... people realising it may be "too hardcore" for them as a road car? Build numbers? Car slowly disappearing from the media coverage? Greed? All of the above?

That's right, I checked the numbers from DVLA too.

Not correct, the counts are distinct not cumulative.

This is true also. For the Cayman GTS there are 534, of which 133 are manuals. 568 991 GTSs, only 47 manuals.

It is incredible how many gt4 are for sale at the moment. It seems most people can't help but take a profit not least of which as its dawned that prices are dropping now.

It's a great car and I would consider one but it's not an 90k car I'm sorry

I remember someone did that with a GTS RS to get an R...when RS's were still advertised for around £250k.

Yes.

I think the real question you will need to be answering would some take below list for there gt4 to get a new gt3 gen 2 build slot?
