So that was a nice good quick sale for a real £86k then I take it.
Goes to show the forum crap for lower spec cars being what the value should be, and my thoughts about spec and the correct prices seem to be true.
Then we're lucky to have such a knowledgeable and astute forum member. We should obviously be bowing to our keyboards every time you post. Goes to show the forum crap for lower spec cars being what the value should be, and my thoughts about spec and the correct prices seem to be true.
As an aside, I don't think anyone is saying that lower spec cars are worth the same as higher spec cars, it's just you that has a bit of a thing about it.

Shouldn't you be burning jetA1 somewhere spending the tax payers money and not lurking on the dark side As an aside, I don't think anyone is saying that lower spec cars are worth the same as higher spec cars, it's just you that has a bit of a thing about it.

Nope !, I said the cheapest car with a few choice bits, inc PCM, leather and Buckets at an OPC is £92kthat was a statement of fact at the time !
I have never listed prices at such, I have always said aim for £15k overs and one is about right.
which makes the cars with no spec at £82k look very expensive still imo, remember unlike the 981 Spyder which had more free kit, the list price of a GT4 was only £64k I think which was a bit misleading imo.
I also said cars for sale on PH in this spec have been £90k for some time at least 6 months, and I am not seeming these 10k price drops people talk about ! they are still £90k in fact you cannot get a car in this spec under £90k atm even private !
Private sales are another line of prices to tempt buyers away from OPC prices, so have to be a bit cheaper, but the blue car lacked climate, cruise and a few little extra,s and seems the right price for a private sale for that spec.
That showed as it sold in a day !
some one also said the blue car at the OPC had dropped in price to £89k but it's still £92k and lacks Carbon
The cheapest GT4 with Buckets, leather, PCM and Carbon is £93k at an OPC atm but with 4k miles on it.
The cheapest GT4 with the above spec and sub 3k miles is £94k
now the private blue one has gone there is not a GT4 for sale in that spec under £90k again atm
It's not hard to look at prices is it ?

Its good spec now silly and his opinion changes like the wind and to suit his argument
point me where I have made an error ? , my opinion is the same as I am only looking at what is for sale and trying to post facts atm.show me a GT4 low miles ie sub 3k with Buckets, PCM, leather and Carbon for under £90k I cannot see one atm unless the private carmine red has PCM and he has not listed it has that.
The total value of the options goes out the window the older the car gets anyway, most will just remember it as £65k car (Cayman R was a good example of this, nobody ever mentions a good spec one was £70k+). It will just be the stand out options that most folk will pay a premium for – buckets, clubsport, nav (hate to admit it) and possibly the extended leather. Not carbon, slightly brighter headlights and cruise control – they are pretty forgetful options that most will happy to compromise on when buying used.
Ceramics is an interesting one as to whether it should hold a premium to steels...anyone that doesn’t track the car probably see it as overkill for the road and wouldn’t pay a premium, those that do track the cars see it as £££££ to maintain when tracking regularly and would probably avoid (or change to steels).

Someone is trying there best to sell this one, how much bull can someone put in an advert, maybe his day job is an an estate agent! Anyone looking to sell you may want to add some of these beauties into your advert....
Once they filter down to the true enthusiasts, they really will be gone.
I agree with the automotive critics that the GT4 is the finest driver engaging motorcar money can buy.
I put the GT4 up against some real exotics on a charity run out recently, Lambo Huracan, Ferrari 488, McLaren P1 and it drown the lot of them out and left them standing on our tight Scottish B roads
I was pleasantly surprised but know if I were to talk over the details with Andreas Preuninger he would respond with a smile and the words “It’s a Porsche GT car”. Really, the next best thing is a GT3 at nearly double the price.
Carmine Red (an expensive option hence the rarest colour to leave the factory), stunning
The car was spec’d by me for myself and I think it’s the perfect combination.

The Blue GT4 never sold in a day. Its been on sale for minimum 3 months and started of at £96K I think back in August.that was a statement of fact at the time !

You are also assuming that he got what was advertised. You are also assuming that every OPC car gets sold at sticker price which isn't always true.

OPCs suffer with targets and financial constraints like the rest of us. I was offered a discount of £11k on a used Cayman GT4 last week, but didn't take it as it was base spec. Higher spec may not have got such a discount but they are out there and prices are negotiable. You are also assuming that he got what was advertised. How much was a base spec GT4 in the 1st place to get £11k off, I rest my cast ! and you still did not want it because it's a low spec car !Edited by Porsche911R on Monday 31st October 15:56

no one remembers the base R price , but 2nd hand prices still go from £36k to £50k depending on spec !worst still low spec cars are lemmon sellers. Top555 are stuck with that yellow one sans AC while we have seen 3 or 4 new Cayman R owners on PH all buy cars the last month with buckets, PSE, crono, AC etc.
yes option prices go out the widow down the line but not on cars which are not a year old yet, 991 GT3 proves this
as prices start for a low spec at £125k and still goto £165k
