Well, on that basis, if anyone out there missed out and would like to offer me £115k, you can spec my car and become the immediate second owner just around the corner from the OPC!!! biggrin
114k for mine biggrin
May not be the most profitable option. I've just specified a car to £94,404!
Good effort, most I could get to without being stupid (leather air vents etc) was £92k

haha, very true, I should have applied small print to mine *based on £75k spec, subject to terms of conditions, always ask the bill payers permission, calls made after the cut-off won't count but may still be charged.

But in all (semi) seriousness, if someone wanted to offer me strong money to have the option of speccing their car, get in touch. Would be silly money though, I want this car for me more than ever.
I think you would be inundated with interest if this was an option. I have a buddy with money to burn who dearly wants to spec his own!

Bloody good show Ian, just goes to show there are some enthusiasts left in this world! Life's too short to worry about the detail! This car for me is a bucket list entry and so I'm also going balls deep and sod the profit margin!!!!

For people who just love cars this is the first proper Porsche which has been available to the mere mortal and hats off to Porsche for making it im forever grateful - big life goal reached for me with this car.... I can't see me ever selling it!

One wonders what more justification for the 'reasonable' GT4 premiums do the cynics need.
I'm guessing all the 996/7 gt3s weren't proper Porsches cry
In real terms both those cars were significantly more expensive when new, so yes I stand by my comment!

Think you might want to check the prices on launch date of the subsequent models before you start fawning over the real man's price of a gt4
Do you know the meaning of Real Terms?

Tell me when the 996 GT3 was launched what the value was and tell me what the equivalent price would be today! And I guarantee it's a significant step up from 64k!!!

But I guess reality doesn't really matter to someone just looking to troll!

When you get yours we should arrange a UK meet up! 700 miles in the GT4 and loving it!
I'm planning a trip up to Scotland to do the NW500 route the same route of the EVO ECOTY in the summer, already have a few owners keen to join, if you're up for it I'll let you know dates etc!

We were planning the same trip so would be happy to join you if the dates work so please keep me informed. (GT4 owner btw)
No problem the more the merrier!

Closer to the time I'll set up a specific thread so we can ensure everyone who wants to join can!

I'm also planning to get up there at the end of May for a few days with shmbo. Perfect roads for the GT4, probably a major contributing factor to it winning ecoty.
Excellent - would appreciate hearing your experience and any tips you have for when we head up, good hotels etc!

I might be wrong but I also read somewhere that the 718 could only accommodate a flat 4 turbo and not a flat 6! But if it is only a facelift that's a different story,,we should know in a couple of weeks.
But if they do make a gt4.2 flat6 will they not use the 3.0 in the 991.2 as I cannot see them building the 3.8 for gt4 only,or if it shares the gt3/RS engine then prices will start in excess of £100k
Interesting point!

The current GT4 borrowed the existing 991s engine however as all 991.2 are now turbo'd where will they rob the engine from? AP said that no turbo's in the GT range while he's the boss so this could pose an issue!

I can't see them taking a bespoke NA engine from the GT3! Unless they decide to keep the 3.8 on the shelf in smaller numbers for the next GT4, I would imagine the cost would be prohibitive to do that?

Nice spec but the colour explains the reasonable price........
I think a lot of people are taken with DMB, I cant see that being the sole reason its 5k lower than similarly spec'd cars especially an OPC one which normally charge a premium!

Not sure about that - no 918 seats or CS on that one.
Plenty of non CS cars at 105...

Plenty of 991 GT3s were up for massive mark ups middle of last year as well I suppose so the gt4 flippers have a precedent to try and follow. And ever more 991 RS are coming on the market at huge mark ups over list so I guess why would the gt4 flippers do any different especially with people jumping on every car that gets listed at higher prices as 'proof' of where the market is....?
I made it the cheapest , most heavily specced one on the market by some margin - it sold quickly , I made a small profit - I was delighted - never had a car do you this before smile
Please accept this post as a formal LOI on your 991 RS.

I want to number 1 on the reserve list!

Its a cracking spec tho..!

I still think its worth the £ even at £115k...

I paid over for mine with no regrets at all :-)
Doesn't have the extended alcantara interior which I think is odd given it has PCCB and CS...... that interior just looks a little dare I say it "cheap" without it! And £115k does seem to be high even for CS and PCCB!!!

He must be selling them if he's asking 116k for that!
I think a few of them have been sold and he's keeping the ads running to sell others he has in stock so as to not have to keep advertising customers cars in the face of various OPC's finding out. Its what they all seem to do...

Its a shame that they didn't spec the leather on that black one though...
Big variations in price - £99k well spec'd car from an OPC through to £115k for CS PCCB but no extended leather and from a trader!

The difference in list price between the two cars is circa £5,500 (extended leather and contrast stitching vs CS and PCCB) but its fetching a further 10k premium, would be interested to see if this moves or not at that price!

I'm toying with the idea of selling my Gt4 to help fund purchase of a 991 GT3, which to be honest is the car I should have bought in the first place. Just don't know whether to join in the bun fight looking at all the other cars for sale or sit back and wait for a while.
Out of interest what do you think is a realistic cost on SOR?

Cheers

Steve
My bet would be to find a dealer with the GT3 you're keen on and see if he will do a deal using the GT4. I imagine you could work out a pretty good win win for you both.

For example this http://www.jzmporsche.com/porsche-for-sale/911/991...

Depending on the spec of your GT4 I imagine you would need to fund the shortfall of around 37k
