Are any cars moving privately at all? Or is everything going through OPC's?

Bought mine privately. Fantastic piece of kit..... and looks like a million bucks. I was in Porsche Swindon yesterday and they have a 911R and it looks ugly!!! Also for price I was happy with my choice haha!

Wow, a similar car via OPC is currently £95k.

Sounds like an excellent deal, good luck!

I recon an OPC would actually pay that or possibly more for it, for their own stock.

Was wondering whether it was worth putting up an advert or not. Trade bids seem really low at the moment. Not looking for anything stupid, but even a bit of enthusiasm would go some way, right now!

Enthusiasm from dealers is their strong point on a sale or px imo. I sold my high spec GT4 in August and was talked down by everyone about the market and the car (inc a couple of OPC & Top555 who had sold loads of them). Apparently unless it was delivery mileage it was below list and would be difficult to sell.

I px'd at an OPC for a 991GTS and got a very good price both ways on the deal and they went on to advertise my GT4 at £100k and sold it within 6-7 weeks.

I think the time of year and number on sale will put off the indies unless your car is top spec and hasn't been used so if possible I would hold it a few more months to get a better price.

They do sell regardless of the naysayers comments.

GT4s are selling for high or mid 80s. So a trade bid would be £10k less from an OPC. My guess would be £77k.

Depends on Spec I guess. If his car was at an OPC for high £80's I guess they should offer him pretty much what he is asking privately here?

As far as I can see, they're still flying out of the door even in winter and rightly so, they're superb for the money.

Only 17 on the locator now so by April I would imagine that there will be even fewer!
Also I bet a few of those 17 are already sold and have yet to be taken down.
Prices are really strong.

agree with that, at least £10k behind I'd reckon.. The gap between trade bid and offers is imo wider than i can ever remember. Dealers are sticking cars for sale at loony orices but protecting themselves with very low bids.

As ever, spec is key.

OPCs spreads for poor or inappropriately specced cars much larger than for better spec cars which will clearly sell quicker.

Most OPCs will want £5k across better spec quicker selling GT4s, and as Spring nears this will also reduce slightly in conjunction with prices inevitably rising.

And a similar car at an OPC is available for £88k before negotiation!

If that car can be bought for £85-86k then a private car is worth £81k in my opinion. So priced correctly. At that margin I would always buy from an OPC for piece of mind.

That car does sound desirable, subject to the full spec. It's got the premium seats and brakes, although not everyone will want the cage.
Agree that most people will feel more comfortable buying through an OPC. However, with only 900 mls, if the seller books it in to his OPC for an oil change and PPI, that should satisfy most buyers.
Sounds great value.

QUE?
The only similar cheapest cage and bucket car I can see in an opc is 2 owners , no ceramics and 4K miles and only £10 short of £90k
That car with only 900miles in an opc is going to be £95k ish !!!
