the wbac site could never provide an offer with any meaning as it does not ask for the exact spec of the car including the options, so basis the offer on a basic spec without options I would assume?

WBAC prices…

16 July ’16 - £82,475
22 Sept ’16 - £67,205
15 Jan ’17 - £70,320

Interestingly, WBAC doesn’t take into consideration spec – flippers should have just flipped a base car back in July.

I think WBAC is just a barometer of market trends, rather than a realistic valuation of an individual car. Their prices will never be realistic at this level, where buyers are much more concerned about spec, colour, and other details.

Thats laughable assuming your GTS is reasonable spec and mileage.

Strange...... I have recently turned down £62500 trade for my PDK coupe 2011!

Shows how little WBAC know. hehe

Case proved! judge

Quite a poverty spec.

No extended leather and standard platinum seat stitching...with Guards red?? Weird.

Interesting that only one car out of 27 without leather has sold and there are four of the seventeen still for sale without it. I guess that makes it almost a must have for the resale market. Others such as interior trim, PCCBs, seats and clubs port seem to be less of an issue. Nav might also be a problem but I guess as the years go past that will become less so due to obsolescence of the technology.

I think if you are keeping a car for ten years and don't need nav then don't spec it. If you sell basically at any point less than ten years you will receive broadly the cost of the nav when new less for the car. And it will be far more difficult to sell.

Try getting a trade bid on a (substantially cheaper than GT4) 2008 911 gen 2 997 without nav...point proved!

Like omitting extended leather, to omit nav really is false economy.

I would say that was opinion, not proof and a 2008 997 is more of a daily driver than a track toy so less relevant in this instance.

But before you say it or ask it I didn't spec nav but have no intention of selling unless something dramatically changes in my life. A GT4 should be for life, not just for Christmas.

I also didn't spec nav but I did leather and I have the old style buckets so it's worthless! But I do have dab and some nice lights!
The reason I didn't spec. PCM is because I had it in my 987spyder it was crap , got me lost and so I never used it! I did spec. CD-R plus what ever it was called and you get everything else that I had on the PCM in my spyder but not the maps

Equally as worthless with leather, fixed buckets, DAB, CD-R plus, phone but most importantly no nav.

Just had a read up on CD-R plus and it's basically the PCM head unit hi res. screen but no gps or maps software hence the nav and map buttons but at some point down the line when fm is switched off dab might be more important than the PCM?

Ian's table is great for looking at trends. Only one that's been sold without leather isn't a surprise but its quite a shock to actually see it confirmed like this!

Same for telephone connectivity too, though haven't seen any without. Also, that the carbon trim isn't a compulsory option to ensure a sale (where did Demon go, it has been wonderful without him!). Colours are very mixed, no real stand out or let down.

I actually forgot about him! You're right, it has been mostly very friendly which makes a change!
I wasn't going to mention the absent one, but I had noticed this thread being a rosier place without his posts. I hope he is well but his recent lack of posts have been welcome.

The whole Porsche section has been a much nicer place, let's just hope it stays that way.
