4 out of the 5 most expensive cars for sale are fitted with club sport pack
Perhaps just as importantly those 4 do all have PCCB too, so put these two items together and you have £8k of extras on the RRP. Let alone they all have 918 buckets and carbon also, so that's way over £12k, so it's perhaps not a shock that these cars are the highest priced used cars too! It's a bit one dimensional to think that club sport alone is driving max used values, but for sure it is a value add item.

The two cheapest white Cardiff cars have been hanging around a long time!
And they'll be there for some time yet judging by the fact that from the 29 sold so far, only one has no leather dash!Thats remarkable. Cardiff own those cars too I think so if anyone wants a deal I'd call with an offer, you might get a fair bit off those prices.

For sure, the combination of PCCB and club sport makes them the most desirable and as a result allows them to command the higher prices. I agree with you AdamIt's a bit one dimensional to think that club sport alone is driving max used values, but for sure it is a value add item.

Still not sure why some people get so excited about the carbon trim and consider it a "must have" option. Whilst appreciating that everyone is entitled to their opinion, I always felt it was bit plasticky and tacky looking, whilst offering no benefits (weight saving etc).Edited by AdamV12V on Friday 20th January 13:58
I certainly wouldn't find a car with it as being any more desirable, things like PDLS, BT, cruise, DAB and Sound Plus all much more appealing (whilst def' not being essential).

To be fair I think it was mostly MrD that had the obsession with carbon and PDlS

Anyone know if it's possible (at a sane price) to remove the cage from a clubsport equipped GT4? I'd put it back on resale.
I want PCCBs and buckets but not the cage. Looking at what's on the market they tend to go together. I'll only do 1 or 2 tracks a year so on balance would prefer to ditch the cage and harnesses.

I think that there is a yellow car for sale at Redline that has the Bucket seats and the PCCBs but no cage. It looks a great spec too.I want PCCBs and buckets but not the cage. I had a club sport with steels and you don't have to fit the harnesses, just leave them in the box and as for the cage, its only a half cage and doesn't get in the way of anything unless you're thinking of loading stuff on top of the engine lid.I want PCCBs and buckets but not the cage. Unlike the GT3. the spec in the back isn't really useful.

The cage just un bolts... would take 1/2hr to 1hr with tea breaks then bolt back in for resale...I want PCCBs and buckets but not the cage. Looking at what's on the market they tend to go together. I'll only do 1 or 2 tracks a year so on balance would prefer to ditch the cage and harnesses.
You might have to unbolt the seats first...
Everybody likes something different.
It fascinates me that PCM is considered important -- none of my "classic" collectables had Sat Nav. And in 10 years, this will be off the scale of current technology -- it just ages the car. Of course IMHO -- which is why I have a truckers Tom Tom that I update weekly !

For sure the carbon trim isn't worth the cost, but its a hell of a lot nicer than the even more very plastic silver coated std offering. The only real must have from the trends seen above is full leather.

Fair point, I was just generally agreeing with the carbon trim comment - I would also prefer it to plastic trim if that is the alternative ....
Fair enough - each to their own. I spec'd it on mine because it tied in the exposed same carbon trim on the 918 buckets, which were essential in their own right to me, and therefore made the car feel more coordinated inside. That will or wont matter to many people, but it did to me. Twinfan said:
