You should be, already told you that white is a poor mans Porsche colour and at no point did I consider that colour

Yep, I don't have time to check with all the dealers whether the car sold, and to who, and whilst I did try emailing when I started this, not many replied, or were willing to disclose, so I can only work on the assumption of sold. Still reckon there is a good balance between available and gone/sold; shows the supply and demand is fairly even given the time of year.

The 81 miler was sold and reappeared at the same dealer so maybe the sale didn't go through as apposed to stock churn between dealers.

Sat in a GT4 with clubsport seats for approx 6 hours straight the other day. Felt fine when I got out which was encouraging...then I woke up in the morning with back pain. They work for some and don't do it for others. To many this won't be a DD but seriously worth trying the buckets out for a decent amount of time before you go for them...

Either they have just reduced it today, or you have the price wrong on the new one at Leeds. The website is showing it as £87,890 not £89,990. Seats also appear to be sports as no mention of any option on seats in spec.

This is probably the case with most cars for sale at the moment. You only have to look at the two sensible priced white cars in a South Wales opc to tell you these aren't moving fast.

Yep, price must have adjusted as I always post them in order of price and it was 5th at the time. Changed it now, thanks for point out.

Probably not the case, I've only seen around 5 reappear since November. Also, the two Cardiff cars are missing the race seats and leather, and whilst options are very much down to personal taste, they clearly are having a significant impact on resale.

I've sat in both. One has buckets the other doesn't, both are nicely specified and good value compared to others. By the way the have had them both for sale for months! If I was looking for a road spec GT4 I would be interested in the one with chairs.

I get back ache just getting in and out of them, nevermind a 6 hour stint! No thanks! They look nice though.

Some cars just hang around, if your looking non-clubsport pack there is a fair choice at the moment.

So the average price to mileage ratio of cars sold is 31.78. For unsold cars it's 54.47.

Assuming the two groups of cars have, in aggregate, comparable specs, GT4s have depreciated.

Does that sound about right, or am I missing something? (I know some of the assumptions could be wrong, like this chart could be inaccurate in the first place, spec can cause huge variations in price even when averaged out etc. - but "ceteris paribus" can anyone identify an error in the principle?)

To illustrate for those not mathematically inclined:

If the SOLD cars have an average mileage of 10,000 and average price of 100,000, and the FOR SALE cars have an average mileage of 5,000 and an average price of 100,000, then the cars have depreciated: for the same money, you can now get a lower mileage example.

100,000 / 10,000 = 10 and 100,000 / 5,000 = 20 - so if the ratio is higher for cars now on sale, that means depreciation. As mentioned above the average ratio has gone from 31.78 to 54.47 = depreciated.

edit: I don't mean they have depreciated below list. I mean, on average, the cars that have already been sold (beyond list) were sold for a higher price than the ones now on sale, so prices have fallen a bit ...

2 Cars at Portsmouth OPC yesterday. A Guards Red and a Sapphire. Both on sale or return. They said prices had softened a bit but still over list. I think the guards car was £92k, Sapphire was higher spec and a bit more.

Always interesting to see what happens to the prices of GT cars come the Spring when the weather warms up and the track day season kicks into action. Think the GT4 prices will reflect that.

It's a funny market at the moment, dealers are still trying to push for the higher prices by the look of things whilst bidding a fair bit lower, the spread on these cars looks to have widened but come spring I can see the market becoming more liquid again and cars moving through dealers quicker, it will be interesting to see where prices settle

Great car, no stories (in our care), no issues, ran faultlessly, run in nicely, never used a single drop of oil (had it changed at 1600 miles).

I have no vested interest as it was bought off us in early Jan.
