12 GT4's for sale on PistonHeads and growing

Hi guys, this is my first post here. For your info, I bought a Clubsport spec Racing Yellow GT4 from Porsche Exeter last Friday with 340 miles on the clock with black wheels, PCCB, carbon interior, satnav, etc for comfortably over list (which would have been about £83k). I was looking for a GT3 RS (deposit paid but no car materialised) but premiums are still huge and Sterling weak so decided to give up and fall for the charms of a manual gearbox and narrow bodywork instead. I'm someone who thought he would never pay a premium but summer is coming and my 993RS sold so I needed something to fill the gap.

Congrats on your new car the overs are most likely not to much of a bitter pill to swallow if you made a tidy sum on the 993rs

Plenty of movement over the last week. 3 cars added at Edinburgh, Leeds and Leeds. 4 sold (or otherwise) from Leeds, Cardiff, Bournemouth and Bolton. By spring I wonder how many there will be, more as those that held over winter wait, more with the GT3 coming, or less as sales ramp up. We shall see.

Most definitely. One of the new arrivals is my old car which I sold back to my OPC last week. Their offer had gone up by a huge amount over their previous offer at Xmas which I had rejected . Prices are on the up, but then that's quite normal for this time of year.

For sure the GT4 is a great car and almost unbeatable for the money but in the end as good as it was, I just missed so many other aspects that a V12 Aston (what I had owned before for the previous 6 years) offers far too much, so I took the plunge and ordered a custom Kermit Green V12 Vantage S dogleg manual, which I took delivery of in the new year - it is a total beast. I actually passed you the other day actually in town, you may have seen or heard me - I was the guy with the GT4 in the same city as you and occasionally saw you in the morning city commute.

I kept the GT4 for a year and sold for a healthy amount over what I paid, so no regrets whatsoever about the ownership experience.

I do remember now you've mentioned it - I saw you couple of times in town.

Nice choice on the Aston though, not many V12's with a manual gearbox these days.

Out of interest, what sort of commissions are the OPC's getting for sale or return GT4's? Also, could someone in the know about options give me an estimate for the list price on the solihull car up at £101k?

Its depends on the OPC a bit. My dealer has said to me £5K, although you can probably negotiate that to a certain degree.

Regarding the car at Solihull, I cant give an exact figure as I don't have the options list, but roughly it would be in the order of £85k. I am sure someone will be able to give you a more accurate figure.

Looking at the mileages on the cars at the OPCs not many of them have been used much so clearly a lot of the owners have just been looking for a resale profit, seems a pity that they have deprived a lot of genuine drivers who I bet would have loved to have got one new and put some mileage on it without interest in the values . Just another money earner for the OPCs . Luckily I had mine from new and got 7.5 k miles on it in 10 months before moving it on without the profiteering .

The black Solihull car is identical to mine in all respects except that it has Clubsport (and 3000 miles on the clock rather than 320).
From memory mine was OTR £83.7K and the Clubsport option was £2.6K so I'm going for OTR £86.3K against the £101K ticket price.

Fair play for using yours, but then not selling with a margin of profit out of principle, that is just bonkers imo. At this late stage, when most of the cars for sale are 6-12 months old, I would hardly consider them flipper cars, just lightly used no number for numerous reasons.
