Ohh rubbish. I thought you'd been confirmed. Can't be long until you find out now.
Really enjoying having a gt4 again. It's a bloody great little car and much more of an occasion than the still lovely 991 gts.

Multiple owners with few miles on the clock
Is standard fare for Lambos and ferraris,I don't think it reflects on any issues with a car , it's a

Hi Fokker now you are on your 2nd gt4 and having owned a 991gts would be nice to here your thoughts on the two? Of course we know the 991gts has the better screamer of an engine which we would all love in a gt4 which be the only plus in the Gts IMHO !

I craved the look of the GTS with the wide rump and the power kit. It didn't disappoint at all and is a great sports car but much less focused than the GT4. Some say that the GTS is too focused to be a daily drive but I don't think so. Its just very good at doing everything from the motorway run to the B roads.

The main difference apart from the manual box is the general feel of the thing. I guess I went from comfort seats back to fixed buckets and that was the first initial shock but once in them for a few minutes (and adding my piece of foam to the lumbar behind the seat cushion) I was as comfy as ever and they really add to the experience. Very noticeable was the steering, which is heavier for sure at town speeds and with much, much better feel. The car feels a lot smaller even though its the same width apart from at the back and also a good deal noisier. I'd forgotten how loud they were, properly antisocially loud smile. The suspension is also a damn sight more firm than the 911 GTS in either setting but interestingly it feels better put together and superb on any surface. The pliancy of the ride is very good indeed and probably very much benefitting from the 'helper springs' that the GT3 has now adopted. I suppose it's all to do with the quality of the componentry underneath and if so, then you really can feel it as even though the GTS was a well put together car, the GT4 in comparison feels like it's made from solid rock. Cornering is a lot more fun and go-kart like; together with the added feel makes for a much more smile inducing experience.

Interestingly I still get the noise from the back when hitting the odd manhole that people suggest is the cage but this car isn't a CS spec whereas my last one was. It's obviously not the cage but the rear suspension i should think.

The flat sport in the torque curve is obviously still there from about 4900 5200 rpm where it feels like its labouring slightly in 3rd gear but just keeping it in the higher rev range ensures quick progress. It feels every bit as fast as the GTS at the top end and although doesn't howl like the 911, it has a charm all of its own, manly a loud one! On a fast Welsh A or B road you wouldn't honestly need more power, its a quick car. The low down torque is also lovely and to use it with the manual box to change up early is an satisfying experience. It pulls very well from about 1200-1300 rpm.

I'm really happy to be back in one again and plan to track it a bit over the summer if time allows. I obviously paid over list for this one but I don't feel short changed at all, in fact at around £90k it feels like a bargain. I drove an Exige the other day, a Sport 380 at what, £75k? Makes this feel even more of a bargain.

Looking at Steel v PCCB in terms of sales... Far more steels have been sold and far more PCCB's remain on the used market.
Even though PCCB seems to command quite a premium, Steels are obviously the more popular choice.

would you buy a track car which needs £20k spending on worn disks lol

It's crazy money this PCCB thing. I would not buy a 2nd hand car again with them if it had ever seen a track or I wanted to track it.

18/64 sold PCCB v Steel = 28%

I wonder how that figure realtes to the percentage of new cars that were specced with PCCB. I'm guessing its not far away.

I get this too from my non-CS car. Sounds like a metallic tyre popping noise if that makes any sense at all?

Sorry David.
