Cheers Ian for the update.

Had a good 450 mile thrash criss-crossing wales in mine this weekend. Now has about 5000 bugs stuck to the front of it.

The light weight buckets are superbly comfortable and the car is hugely smile inducing. The nice thing about it is actually the low speed enjoyment in the bends. It entertains at normal-ish road speeds which is good for the licence. It really is a great piece of kit.

Yep, mentioned a couple of pages ago; just a load of nonsense from JZM in a desperate attempt to sell their GT4...which coincidently is now reserved. The figures don't lie, 70+ sold since November and 4 sold in the last week through the OPC network.

If cars are failing to sell at all then prices will come down. They still seem to be be selling though as Cardiff opc had 5 in at the same time and all sold. I think opcs consider them as good sellable stock hence they're happy to trade them and as long as the overs are still achievable people will sell them. .

I think the GT4 just isn't a 'specialist resellers' car just yet - its too new. OK Top555 seem to have sold loads, but most cars have moved more successfully through the OPC network. The customers buying this nearly new car are probably happier going through OPC than to a non-branded specialist.

If you are buying a 997GT3 then you are probably more experienced (unlikely to be your first Porsche or GT car) and there are very few in the network so the Specialist route is more favourable.

Totally agree its JZM talking it up/down as they did not sell the car as quickly as they hoped.

Give it a couple of years and they will be saying they are the best car ever!

JZM will be complaining about 997 GT3's being over priced very soon. I notice that Hexagon have taken two 997 GT3's into stock in the last couple of weeks....a Clubsport at £130k and a very nicely specced Comfort at £118k....both about £10k over where JZM would retail them. It's kind of surprised me that Hexagon haven't jumped on 997 GT3's before as they're very limited numbers and are selling very well....right up their street for stockpiling and pushing prices up as they've done with many other cars 993 Turbo/997 GTS/Z8/E39 M5 etc etc

They do and whilst a lot of people have a problem with them to my knowledge they own all their cars....none are SOR. They put their money where there mouth is so to speak....

They might have nine 997 GTS's but they don't have any manual coupe's

They do have amazing stock in terms of the older stuff. That said I think 9 gts in stock is ott as I would say likely as 991 gts trickle down I'm sure this will have an impact albeit the gen 2 is a turbo. If I straw poll my fiends 90% don't know or care much about cars so the latest greatest is more likely what they will buy. I would ather sink the money into a 993 as it's a safer place.

This car is now sold as I spoke to the new owner yesterday. His previous car was a 997.1 GT3 and he's looking forward to the change.
