12 GT4's for sale on PistonHeads and growing

Rubbish. 12 (out of 545, 2.20%) OPC GTSs is a "ton"? Compared to the 18 (out of 595, 3.025%) OPC GT4s?

Manual GTSs are the ones not selling, the OPC network has had their current two for months and nothing new has come to market in that time.

Agreed and to add to this, there were 19 981 Cayman GTS' on the locator about 3 weeks ago. Lots have been sold it seems recently.

Look on the PH classifieds for GTSs and GT4s too - 24 ads (GTS) vs 49 ads (GT4). There are sold cars and wanted car ads on there but if there are "tons" of anything it's GT4s. Owners selling up for GT3s?

EDIT: Actual figures are 20 GTSs for sale and 41 GT4s...

There were about 6 GTS until recently and all of a sudden 19! I can only think it's people getting into a 4 pot, for reasons I can't understand. There were 8 991 GTS' until recently and now over 20 as i assume people are getting into the new version which you would expect.

Re the GT4's they will deplete, there were just quite a few sold hence there will always be a few on the used market for sale. As Ian's table shows, there is change every week so movement is still there. At least buyers have a choice!

I have noted this several times across several threads - there are some GT4 owners who keep 'negging' the GTS for reasons only they know. I do have a view as to why it might be, but as they are people I don't wish to have any dealings with, I'll keep it to myself.


The information that has been compiled for the GT4 shows the movement of stock at OPCs, even though the number for sale has remained in the mid to late teens for some time now.

No-one has kept such a watch on GTS, but they do sell - at prices ranging from the high 50s to the early 70s.

The other manual hasn't sold as the interior is in coffee leather which probably isn't to most people's tastes. There are only about 130 produced in the UK anyway but the few which have come up don't hang around in the right spec. Few come up as they are a pretty good proxy if you don't fancy the GT4 looks and are fussed with having a track day weapon.

Thanks for the comments guys. I love the car but I have a baby due in July and also a new business venture on the cards so needs must.

You have proved the point that I made before - the number of cars for sale on the AUCL does not mean that they are not selling.

This applies to CGTS as well as GT4.

I think GTS models are moving very quickly too - I sold my CGTS yesterday and it's already been sold apparently without even being prepped and advertised!

I bought the guildford car and am picking it up tomorrow. Can't wait to join the fold. Better late than never as they say.
