I have a weep from the cam tensioner bolt (it's a 33mm hex on the lower o/s of the engine). It looks like a big bolt. I understand that it involves locking the cams to undo and swap the washer, bit like a sump bolt washer in principle.

Has anyone any experience of tackling this please?.

Yes you are correct, remove airfilter turn engine to TDC mark,CLOCKWISE ONLY,then insert lock pin, remove 32mm bolt and catch oil replace tensioner with new washer, reset oil level.

Hi Andygo, when the crank pulley is on TDC,there is a hole in it that lines up with a hole in the casting on the engine,at about the 11.00 position.I use a mirror to line it up, as its tight with the genuine tool, it takes some wiggling to push it in all the way, and you need the short timing pin.
