Yes, I'm not after more braking (the car stops just fine) just a shorter pedal. It's just a personal/confidence thing. If the bigger m/c gives me less travel, it will suit my driving style more than the standard set up which makes me extend my leg too much, to the point where I lose my feel for the modulation of the brakes.
I understand all what D's saying about the brakes and what could be done because I went through a lot of the same stuff on my previous track biased 964. Back then I wanted to improve the retardation (and achieved it with extensive upgrades) but with the CR I just want a pedal that has a shorter travel as it's more me (the 964 always had a short pedal). It's probably because I have short legs!
It'll be a great mod for you then - certainly worked well for me. I'm quite pleased with my current brake set-up. Next time I may get some titanium heat shields but that's probably it.I understand all what D's saying about the brakes and what could be done because I went through a lot of the same stuff on my previous track biased 964. I fitted the gt3 mc to my S after the original developed a fault. I have pccb and the overall feel was better before. I can see the benefit for normal brakes as anything has to feel better than stock but for pccb I would not change standard setup.
If you've swapped it back to the standard one and want to sell the GT3 one, let me know. Hi Dan,
Please can you let me know the spec of your C R ?
Im currently looking.
Thanks, john.

Hi guys,
I have put a deposit down on a GT3 so my R will be on the market with in the next week.
Had the OPC warranty and roadside cover renewed last week (for 2 years) MOT getting done in the next 10 days, had new tyres and brakes over the last 2 weeks as well. Wants for nothing. She is a great spec, in white done 17,900 miles.
Message me if interested

My old one was faulty so I've left the gt3 one in. It doesn't bother me enough to buy another OEM one to swap back So took my car to Brooklands today to sort out a suspension issue. Sorted out a price beforehand and just thought I'll drop it off and pick it up later.
Imagine my delight when they told me that only the top mount needed doing, so they didn't need to change the shock, so the amount I had to pay was far lower than expected (like around half the amount).
Car has now had a full geo, is spotlessly clean and drives as good as new.
Thanks to the guys at Brooklands who did a great job - one very happy customer!
