They said you have to bleed the mc up on the bench first before fitting but it was straight forward.
From memory it was about 2 hours labour to change mine which included brake fluid change at the same time. Therefore about £110 + VAT at my indy.

Used mine on track for the first time recently and gave me the firmer feel that I was searching for. For road use only I wouldn't have bothered.

Been looking for one of these on and off for a while now and spec never seems right. Stumbled across the green R at Silverstone Porsche. Perfect spec but relatively high miles. Anyone know anything about it?

I'm surprised these are still so cheap. Very low numbers, good pedigree and amazing cars. What am I missing?
dont think you are missing anything. I completely agree. great cars and relatively good value precisely because they are not a 911. i had a deposit on one but then a property sale fell through. when it does complete - I will be shipping one in, hopefully white to go alongside my R26.R

lots of discussion a few pages back on values and investment potential

It'll be a slow depreciator, rather than an investment unless you don't use it...... which kinda defeats the object of having one.

Good crowd over at Caymanoc.com, a few Cayman R owners amongst them too.

CRs in certain specs & low mileage seem to be popular buys at present and why not great value car looking at what other models are going for not a lot around at high 40s

What do people consider to be "low mileage" on a 2011/2012 PCR ?

Average mileage for a "run of the mill car" would be 50 - 60k at 5 - 6 years old, however the CR tends not to be a daily user car, at a guess I would say imho average mileage for an R would be 20 -25k so anything less I would consider low mileage.

miles are higher on the R because it is in fact a daily car imo and used by most as one just like the 997 GTS

low miles cars are now quite rare, what is said on a Porker is ave miles are 8k over the 12k on a normal car.

So any thing less than 8k PA is lower miles than ave.

So you are saying 40 - 48k is average mileage for a CR? eek I'd like you to be right as mine is just 20k but I'm guessing mine is average for a 2012 CR

Mine turned 32k last week but has only covered 2k since I got it in May last year. It'll do a few miles this summer - 3 to 4k I expect....... But if you have one you have to use it here and there. Like most, it's not a daily driver though.

Contact the owner and ask for any photo info of the damage invoices and/or reports from the repair.

Mine is on just over 12k from new. Work and owning some other toys is my excuse. Don't think there are many single owner cars with that sort of mileage about. I think a lot of people traded in when the GT4 came out, I didn't as I couldn't bring myself to sell it.
