Reluctantly selling mine as I'm moving abroad. Manual, buckets & OPC warranty - it's searchable on Autotrader.

Fantastic cars and I would own one again in a heartbeat if I get the chance!

I just had to go and check the advert.

Great looking car that, good history and sensible price, good luck with the sale.

I do, it's breath of fresh air smile They have some excellent writers/contributors, well worth the price of entry.

I couldn't get N rated for my 991.2 GT3RS or I would also have given them a try.

Strangely there are two N rated rear options but no N rated front ... clearly Continental are trying so it will be interesting to see how you get on with them smile
I recently fitted a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport R's to mine and I'm very happy with them. Fits in between PS4S and Cup 2.

That car looks brilliant. Does anyone know how it compares to a 987.2 S with PASM? Obviously it's worth the premium for the badge, buckets & other bits but as a driving experience is it 30-40% better?

I think you can check contemporary reviews. Imo the Cayman R is the epitome of marginal gains stacking up to deliver.something very special. Whilst none of the changes are huge, they add up to a compelling package and the reviews really did laud it's handling as something very special.

It's alloy doors, lightest wheels available, no AC or stereo and the bucket seats for ~55Kg weight saving. Then 20 or so Bhp more, 'bespoke' suspension with shorter stroke dampers and -20mm stiffer springs. There's also the stiffer rear ARB and slightly more aggressive geometry, along with the LSD.

I'm doing my.best to recreate this with my car, the suspension, ARB and geometry are all easy to achieve and I'm putting in a Quaife LSD. The weight loss and power hike is harder to get. And I'm sure it's the seats that really set it apart but they're crazy money so I'll consider some recaros or whatever I can afford in time.

Most of the value of course comes from the rarity, not the driving experience per se.

It’s only got 10bhp more than an S, and the vast majority still have AC and stereos

It’s GT03’s (top of this page) - very tempting! Someone else please buy it so I can stop looking at it!

That's an awfully good car to have fun driving for the price, it makes other pork seem subjectivity very overpriced.

Sold to a PHer today. I'm gutted to see it go, it was a fantastic example, and the favourite car I've owned so far.

Good work. Perfect spec for me, but not the perfect time, sadly. I’m sure it will be enjoyed by the new owner!

Anyone know the part number for the side protector decals?
I assume both sides come as a set, though mine has only ever had the passenger side one - which had got discoloured. The drivers side area doesn't have any chips so I wonder just how necessary they are - though sods law.

Many here had to replace them?

Thank you! very kind of you to reply with the info.
I'll call Porsche to see if they can be ordered - a quick look online suggests they are no longer available...OEM that is.

Paint protection film has improved a lot since these cars were built over a decade ago and I'd be more inclined to buy good aftermarket pieces than replace like for like. My car has a fair few chips these days, but if it didn't I would also be inclined to go for some slightly larger pieces for better protection. The bits of original PPF on my car (inside doors and boot) are distincly yellow in colour. Some day I'll get round to swapping them!
