Wow, full house, other than a touch higher miles than you'd hope for, perfect spec car and not bad price ?
I agree - it made me wonder if it's an ex press car. Can't be many people who'd spec it like that from new, looks like virtually every significant box ticked for a purist spec car - nice!
Probably a Porsche Silverstone Experience car with those options. Nice to have all the bits on it though smile

That makes sense as I think this is cheap considering its ridiculously rare spec........either that or I paid too much for mine.!

Had my CR big service done today at Chester OPC. Cost £675 with plugs, brake fluid is SRF and already changed.

Good service and a Macan loner which was very nice for what it was but not my sort of vehicle.

Only problem was my sport exhaust switch over not working which I will investigate myself, oh and a non Porsche battery. I fitted a Bosch at 2yrs old as the Moll battery expired which are generally poor, so quite pleased with that. biggrin
Good price that!

I'm assuming you don't have a Porsche warranty?

I got mine serviced today - good job by the guys at West Byfleet and I was OK with the price in the end. I really do love my car now though - it took a while to really gel with it but I'm not sure I want to change it - they had a GT4 in the showroom - £100k??? Simply not worth the switch - I can get that new Mini JCW Challenge, keep my car and still have change for that kind of cash. For the money, there isn't much to compare with the R IMHO. Looking forward to getting the cup 2s on it and trying it on track now.

I just picked up a Green 2012 CR from Porsche Nottingham -

a few questions

1) Plan to use it primarily on the track - it currently has P-Zero's - Cups are probably too extreme - would PSS's be better than the P-Zero's?
2) Doesn't have bluetooth support for phone (but has the button!) - is it a software update the dealer can make?

Love the car!

I've got a set of PSSs which I'll be using for track. Quite a few past and present CR owners use them too and sing their praises as a good compromise for road and track.

David,

If you remember from our mails, this was the car I nearly bought......it was owned by a PH'er...can't remember his name.......but it was available for the PX price he was getting at the time of circa £37k......I dithered for 24 hours too long and missed out.......few days later it appeared for sale with this same seller for £41k and sold quickly.....the buyer seems to have either PX'd it with Cameron or it's on SOR with them..........

Finally had time this weekend to wash the new car - I picked this up on Wednesday from Porsche Nottingham, and I love it!

The one thing I am looking to change is the wheels, I would much prefer them to be black - anyone done any previous research on what fits? as I am guessing its hard to get hold of the black ones that Porsche supplied.

And lastly - my car does have a button for telephone (I am guessing bluetooth!) - but the software/hardware is not installed - can the dealer retro-fit?

(edit - dammit just noticed all pics upside down - my iphone keeps doing this - am afraid you just have to turn your screen upside down! wink)

Sounds interesting - bit of a trek for me though Boxsey. I'll take a look and see if I can make it work.

Nice car. You'll want to put the strips back on the front bumper though.

The decals from the front bumper are missing, the bumper was possibly resprayed as part of their pre-sales prep, it looks like they forgot to replace the decals. I'm sure the OPC would rectify this.

If you contact Chris Weaver of Exel wheels he'll be able to provide you a quote for painting your wheels Black to OEM standard

Dammit - your right, I have contacted Nottingham, they did tell me they were respraying the front, and it was a push to have it ready - so obviously forgot to do it, the trouble is its 400+ mile round-trip to go back to them - hopefully they can get my local Dealer to do it?

Thanks for the link for the wheels - will take a look

p.s. do many owners put clear film on to protect the frontend?

That car had a respray front and the paint was so far off it did not sell, was on here.

So looks like they repainted again in the right colour match.

Yes, was going to get mine done - quoted £600 plus VAT but I hardly drive it do decided against. If you're going to get it done, do it before you put the decal back on or it causes bubbles apparently.....pleased you like it, they are awesome point to point cars and will drive mine more when the Summer comes.

Was this ever a Porsche experience car or press car as hinted at earlier? or was that just usual forum guess work/speculation?
