yep it's Bobs car. (which I have had a quick drive of)
very nice set of mods on that car inc a very rare not made any more Ti exhaust.
no wonder the OP was blown away that's one sorted car.

I think it has had some track time too. Appears to still be in beautiful condition thanks to its previous owner.

enjoy the car those mods are about >£10k worth and make the R a true weapon and perfect drivers machine.I think it has had some track time too. Appears to still be in beautiful condition thanks to its previous owner.
Not many modded cars to that level about but as you know having driven it, was an amazing tool.

Yeah I've tried to do as much homework on it as possible and it comes with all the OEMNot many modded cars to that level about but as you know having driven it, was an amazing tool.
Parts too. It drives lovely and clearly the owner was an enthusiast. It comes with a hefty receipt from Centre Gravity for all the geometry and corner weighting.
The more I look into it, the more I see it has all what I'd call "the right bits".
The exhaust did drone at part throttle on my test drive but the noise thereafter is worth it.
I'm Porsche mad and have wanted a 911 forever, I was admittedly in the "Caymans not a 911" camp until I drove one. Happy to say I'm delighted to be swayed by it. Truly special car to drive.

Couldn't possibly MrD's with a GT3 master cylinder
After yesterday's track day at Oulton Park I think I'm going to have that fitted next. Even with the Pagid RS29s and good fluid, the pedal is just a bit too long for my liking when it gets to the big stops at Lodge, Old Hall and the end of Hill top. Consequently I ended braking much earlier for those stops than needed to because I didn't have enough confidence in the peddle. Hoping that the bigger cylinder will provide more confidence and feel less squishy when trying to modulate the pressure.P.s You're right about the supersports...the wear rate is amazing..five trackdays on them in addition to yours and still meat left on them! Saying that, I can't have done much track mileage yesterday owing to too many idiots that caused 12 red flags!
I would try the TRW one for PCCB 6 pot setup with a 25.4mm size, you can find them for about £230
oem is 23.8mm and the GT3 one is 27mm
Plus fit the larger 340MM Gyro disks up front which will bring the caliper out a tad, its easier top stop a disk the more out you go, that's just physics.
I still think the issue is with the brake booster set up not MC and also the way you bleed the system, air always seems to get in and I always got a few bubbles every bleed from the inner front nipple, do a re bleed in the right order with ABS trigger in durmetrics software and the pedal always felt good to me but only for a short while.
if you are tracking I would re-bleed the system before every track day.
The MC is a mask not a cure imho and does not remove the "squishyness" it just gives you less travel so when things feel "squishy " you can push more ;-), but that debate will go on and on ;-) that might be all some people need though, that buffer of room knowing you have room to press harder.
if a shorter pedal with more room to keep pressing will give you the confidence you want then all is good, if you want to fix it then fit 6 pots with 350mm disks ;-) which goes with the 25.4mm MC.
you have been in my Spyder and that's all that has, 6 pots and the 25.7mm MC and that stops on it's nose. PCCB yes but I bet it would stop the same if I switched to alcon, steels.
that's just my view so I don't want a 8 page debate on the pros and cons of the GT3 MC ;-)
AT the end of the day if the pedal travel is moving too much after a few laps the issue is heat, having a bigger MC in it will make you push harder increasing more heat !!! never ending circle of doom.
If heat is the issue which most of the time it is as the pedal is ok on the road, you need to look at how to remove/reduce heat, again back to my bigger better disks, GT3 ducts, ti shims etc and bleed the system before every track day.
I think the 25.4mm size MC would be a good call, less travel than normal but more than the much bigger 27mmGT3 one, and imho you need a bit of travel to help modulate and threshold brake avoiding the killer in these cars ABS cut in !
ALSO it's a MUST to have "PSM OFF" as PSM on causes the car to use it's brakes more on it's own and cause yet more heat.
I still think if I bought a car to do more than 4 track days PA though I would go 350mm disks and 6pots and be done with it.

Is the abs in these offensive and cause the pedal to the floor scenario?
you just get ice mode :-) hit a bump under brakes ABS cuts in and you take an extra 30 meters to stop !!Threshold braking is key in the 987.2 cars imo.
google ice mode Porsche, but it's quite easy to threshold brake and imo the longer travel helps even more to keep you away from ABS.
I've got GT3MC on mine. The difference it makes is purely on how hard the pedal is. It means you have to push harder to brake and provides a more stable platform for H&T. That is it, no improved braking, just better feel.
My car also has RS29s, braided hose and GT3 brake ducts. But GT3MC was the most noticeable change even though is didn't improve overall retardation.

Yes, I'm not after more braking (the car stops just fine) just a shorter pedal. It's just a personal/confidence thing. If the bigger m/c gives me less travel, it will suit my driving style more than the standard set up which makes me extend my leg too much, to the point where I lose my feel for the modulation of the brakes. My car also has RS29s, braided hose and GT3 brake ducts. I understand all what D's saying about the brakes and what could be done because I went through a lot of the same stuff on my previous track biased 964. Back then I wanted to improve the retardation (and achieved it with extensive upgrades) but with the CR I just want a pedal that has a shorter travel as it's more me (the 964 always had a short pedal). It's probably because I have short legs!

Hi guys,
I have put a deposit down on a GT3 so my R will be on the market with in the next week.
Had the OPC warranty and roadside cover renewed last week (for 2 years) MOT getting done in the next 10 days, had new tyres and brakes over the last 2 weeks as well. Wants for nothing. She is a great spec, in white done 17,900 miles.
Message me if interested
