Thank you all again for the replies.
How about the black one online at TH Boler, seems to have similar amounts of miles as the one at JZM, I am pretty sure from speaking with them previously it has a PSE however its not mentioned in the description. Also has 11months Porsche warranty.
Looking at the interior pics there is no PSE button on the console so unlikely to have it.How about the black one online at TH Boler, seems to have similar amounts of miles as the one at JZM, I am pretty sure from speaking with them previously it has a PSE however its not mentioned in the description. Just get a Carnewal system, that's what I was going to do before putting up for sale
keeps the much needed 7mm bigger dia pipework , allegedly the mod can't be seen and you get a fruitier sound, what's not to like ? (apart from the fact it's not switchable)BubblesNW said:

Would this have an effect on Porsche warranty?

Yes, you would invalidate the warranty and prevent any future renewals.

Everything looks 100% orginal on the outside but the internals are changed to a better flowing, less restrictive exhaust.
I think you may be crediting your average OPC tekky with more intimate knowledge of the product than I'd give them Slippydiff said:

They do a switchable version! And my stock exhaust got me black flagged on a static at good wood!
At 3k+ euros I'd be looking elsewhere (and I'd have a useful increase in horsepower) but accept my warranty would be void. Basically OPC warranty is good for collecting but if you want to use/track etc then wouldn't matter!
Doesn't seem to be much wrong with these cars anyway and even Porsche claim the PDK is bullet proof!

Hi guys – newbie here! I have been looking at Cayman R’s for the last few months, there are a couple currently on PH that look good to me however I know that both have been on line since October/November.
There is an Aqua Blue PDK at 22k miles from JZM currently available and a White PDK at 33k miles listed from Autostore Cambs. Both are obviously PDK which I know tend to hang around a bit longer than manuals and the Aqua Blue doesn’t have PSE, that aside is very well spec’d. (I can link if allowed?)
Is it just the current market or would you say there are other reasons these are still around I haven’t noticed?
I see the blue one at JZM is reserved - have you bought it? Surprised that one took so long to sell - saw it in the flesh and even next to all the other special cars at JZM, it looked great. Has the red one at RPM only just sold as well.....? You'd think the track season was just around the corner or something 😀andy.yeow said:

What are the general views on an ex press car, with a Youtube history when it comes to re sale?
However as tempting as that would be I'd have to say it does depends on how it's been treated and if it's fooked or not

Went to view the Peridot car at JZM over the weekend. Not quite the right spec for me... What are the general views on an ex press car, with a Youtube history when it comes to re sale?
Looked to be a lovely car.
JZM also now have a white one with lower miles and similar spec to the Peridot one....Looked to be a lovely car.

Surely the point of a Porsche is it's designed and built to extremely high quality
So what is this "abuse" that can suddenly knacker a car?
Tyres, brake pads yes - but these are consumables
the rest of the car is designed to be hooned...lots of people say the best way to run in a new motor is to give it grief
I don't get therefore why a press car that's been hammered - which actually means lots of heat cycles, decent mileage and probably longer trips is a worse buy than something which could have crawled along in traffic for 5 years . Or could have stood for ages and then been spanked at weekends?
No one really knows how a 2nd hand car was driven by its previous owners! Like those BS adverts staying dry use only.
So surely the only difference here is perception.
