It seems my old Cayman S (The Unicorn) is for sale again. it's gone up in price too. If anyone wants a CaymanR PDK I would give it serious consideration, PCCB, LSD, buckets, sports exhaust, full leather, Spyder wheels, nav, PASM,, etc
now on 20" wheels and he wants £2k extra to refit the org ones lol.A back ed is a better buy imo and there is a nice one for sale atm a lot cheaper than that and with the correct wheels.

Has that car had a 2 inch lift 4x4 style Perhaps the black accentuates it but from a cosmetic point of view the ride height looks comically high.edc said:

And It's still a Cayman S at the end of the day so imho at least 10k overpriced You can buy an "R" for a little more which will be a far better investment long term regardless of spec.A back ed is a better buy imo and there is a nice one for sale atm a lot cheaper than that and with the correct wheels.

Question...why does everything have to be an investment, does anyone buy these cars just to enjoy driving the bloody things rather than obsessing with how much they will depreciate if they take them out the garage.
I've bought a 718 S, I don't care about depreciation ... obviously BubblesNW said:

Yep the Unicorn is up. Little bit speculative at the moment mainly due to not being able to find a replacement. Currently thinking of selling this and the 911 (which isnt done yet) and maybe either get a GT4 or the new GT4 (PDK!) or possibly a 12c not sure yet. Tried V10 and V8 R8 and the Cayman is better than both so that was an unexpectedly closed door. Mr D with the comedy again there fecking black series indeed
The one you linked to is 33.5k and complete poverty spec.

I think quite a lot of us did and do. Three of us are off to Spa in our Rs this weekend. Viewed the car at RPM Technic on Saturday really good condition low mileage and late model with just about everything you need except sports chrono, but would this be missed?
Seriously considering a swap from a BMW M2 to the Cayman R. Totally different animals I know. The M2 was on point on the drive to Aylesbury first trip post running in service and let it off the leash fully and did not disappoint.
But there is a Porsche itch that needs to be scratched and the Cayman R seems like a great place to start rather than a 997.
Will be a few weeks before I'm ready to make a move so this one at RPM will probably pass me buy and someone will get a great car but any advice or opinion are welcome

Does anyone have a third radiator (middle, under the number plate) on their CR? I passed one parked up today at the station and stopped to have a look and it had a third radiator. I had assumed at first its owner had it retro-fitted (it had a couple of other bits and pieces for track use) but having read more about it I'm not so sure and am wondering if they were factory fitted on some cars according to market/ spec. Some folks say that PDK cars (as this one was) in some warmer countries have third radiators, but not manuals (mine is a manual). I've never had a problem with over-heating (not the engine/ transmission anyway, brakes a different story), this is just motivated by curiosity (and vanity - it defo looked better with the third radiator)!
