I saw this rather lovely black 991 C2 in Tankerton today whilst enjoying a walk along the coast, and I thought "that is odd, it doesn't have any rear wheel arch liners"... AND THEN I SAW A MORE AWFUL PROBLEM:

Put me right off the whole car
Despite your sarcasm... it did catch your eye. And there we have it. A bolt (sic) on the landscape.

I sense a class action building?

just for the record...I cleaned my 981 Boxster S today...my bolts are nicely colour-coded to the brake callipers...

Granted, they are, shame the same can't be said of your bleed nipples though ....
I'd seriously consider sueing Porsche AG for using corrosive brake fluid and for not using stainless steel bleed nipples.

I couldn't help but notice that rather large chip on the caliper. Definitely a case to answer there, caliper and caliper paint finish unfit for purpose =

New car FOC.

A loan car supplied FOC whilst your existing car is replaced.

AND

Compensation for the stress and anxiety caused by the knowledge you've been driving a car with a dangerous braking system for goodness knows how long.

And if none the above appeals, you could just drive it I suppose......

May I just thank everyone for such a fantastically happy evening reading about this, not had such a laugh since I last saw Fawlty Towers.
But here's the thing the op is bang on right the bolts make the whole calliper and wheel look like it has just come from a scrapyard, they should not corrode so easily, and yes Porsche use cheap parts for manufacture they have for the last twenty years or so, I love my Boxster but its mainstream build em /sell , so is the rest of the range Porsche are no better than than Mazda MX5's, in fact the MX 5 is probably built better,Mike

Will they never learn?

Thought you were safe with a S model calipers? Think again!

The bolts on the 718 S are.....UNPAINTED! It's just a matter of time before these go down the same route.

Damn you Porsche, damn you!
