I'd say that the colour is a bit darker than the photos which were taken with bright sunlight on it but it's not as dark as the configurator. The Bordeaux /black interior is slightly darker than the hood but looks good to me at least.
I did 200 miles on country roads yesterday and had a great time.I highly recommend the pse.The car was great fun and very responsive and fluid.

Lovely looking car in that colour but my previous 986 of 14yrs. was silver. So It was nice to have a change. I might be wrong but are those photos taken in the AmmanValley ?
Thanks Dyffed. Yours looks great as well - the grey really suits the lines which is why they used it as one of the launch colours I suppose.I went for the gt silver as I've always loved the colour with the red roof after seeing a rs60 edition on display in Las Vegas. Trouble was I didn't win enough to buy one.You are right about the location - given the name do you know the area well?
I hope you are enjoying the car as much as I am.

Yes, I know the area very well. I come from Ammanford but now live near Bromley, Kent. All my family live in Ammanford area and I still come down to see them. Shall look out for your car. I thought I recognised the area but not sure of the name. Yes I'm so pleased with the car. We have some nice drives down through Kent and Sussex but have nothing to compare with the roads down in your part of Wales. They must be among some of the best in the UK. You'll know cross hands then.i'm not far from there in a village.I'm pleased you like the car. It must have been a bit of a wrench saying goodbye to the previous one but the 718 more than makes up for it I'm sure.
You are right the roads are great.I'm off to the Beacons on Friday having skirted them yesterday. The Boxster won't be a daily for me but it will come to work most Friday's as my commute is about 35 miles each way on a and B roads to mid Wales.
If you fancy a car chat and some time away from the relatives next time you are down let me know.

Great?!!! It doesn't to me...
Question, if you think the 718 sounds great, what do you think of the sound of the 981?
