I will check with my Local Dealer whether I could have Black smooth leather with black stitching for the Interior with Black Sport-Tex for the seat inserts and Crayon leather with crayon stitching for the seat surrounds / door cards and under dash etc .
Let us know how you get on.Main reason I'm going for the black sport tex is for the white stitching on doors/dash/console. Quite ridiculous for £1,740 when I stop to think about it.

I can have Two-tone Leather interior in Black and Crayon ( Brochure P. 106 ) @ £ 1,400 which is fine for me BUT Seats in Crayon Leather + Black Sport-Tex inserts would have to be a ' Custom Tailoring Job ... Zuffenhausen is being contacted about this by my PC . I will report back in about a week .

Yep, please do. Surprised if you can be quite that specific with options.

Anyone is the metallic white worth paying more for over standard white?
Definitely. When we were speccing up our BGTS we were fortunate to see both solid white and Carrara white metallic alongside each other. Until you see them together you don't realise CWM is a pure bright white, solid white is more creamy. If you do what we did and specify gloss black wheels (we also chose gloss black roll bars, base of the door mirrors, front and rear aprons and side engine intakes that came with the GTS exterior pack, you may be able to choose some of those as separate Exclusive options) it looks really stunning. A personal view, but white / CWM is one of the few colours that look great in the interior package painted option.Edited by dreamcar on Sunday 28th August 21:50
I personally prefer solid colours on Porsches so opted for the FOC white. I also have read articles stating that the metallic/pearlescent colours prove more challenging for a paint match in the event that a body repair is required....not a reason to avoid these but something to be aware of.
Has anyone seen (or better yet, have a picture) of an interior that doesn't have two zone climate control?
Being honest, its not something I think I'd miss, so seems like a sensible way to save £500 for something else on the options list, but given that every single 718 Boxster I've seen has it, seems to suggest its an "essential option".
Whilst I've always tried to avoid the "speccing for the next owner" scenario, I'd rather not be completely shafted come resale...
Seems monumentally stingy of Porsche not to include as standard!

I think it is the same as the previous car, I didn't bother speccing it my car, not needed. IMHO there are better value options and I wouldn't worry too much about options for resale (They all lose value), just don't pick a nasty colour.Being honest, its not something I think I'd miss, so seems like a sensible way to save £500 for something else on the options list, but given that every single 718 Boxster I've seen has it, seems to suggest its an "essential option".

Thanks, thought as much.
Things like this and auto dimming mirrors not being standard is a bit of a shock for someone used to having these as standard even on mid spec BMWs etc!
Anyone have any thoughts on the three different shades of black you can get for the 20" Carrera Classic wheels?
I'm pretty set on Guards Red, but umming and ahhing whether to go with colour for the wheels. Black with red goes nicely, but having three shades of black that all seem to look the same on the configurator doesn't make things easy!

Drove the base and S Boxster a few weeks back. Have been playing around with the spec for a base Cayman since. Currently at this:
Graphite Blue Metallic
Sport_Tex Interior in Graphite Blue and Crayon
718 Model Designation
Park Assist front and rear
Manual
PASM
PSE Silver
20" Carrera Sport
Heated Multifunction Wheel
Sports Seats Plus (2 way)
Heated Seats
Footwell storage net
Smoking Package (pains me to have to pay that for the 12 volt socket and somewhere to store coins)
Connect
Not 100% on blue leather on the interior, although I realy like the two tone finish. PSE seems a lot and a gamble for something I've not actually heard.
