Nice spec, my only thought might be to go for PASM as this works well with sports chrono and 20" wheels . Yet more money on extras !! Difficult to know with wheel choice as you really need to see them in the flesh. I was looking at the same wheel and colour on a Graphite Blue car but decided that the they blend in to the car too much so have decided on Carrera classic.
Thanks guys.

Does PASM make a noticeable difference in normal mode on roads (not track) over the standard suspension?

Takes some of the harshness out of the ride esp. if you have the larger wheels. I'm going for 19s and PASM personally. (dont really like the standard S 19's and not overly bothered by the choices of 20, so going Boxster S 19 style.

On a 981 PASM in normal makes quite a difference and smooths out the standard suspension's tendency to crash over bumps.

On the 718S Cayman I drove last month, with PASM, I noticed it was a little more "bobbly" than my 981 PASM and not so comfortable. Still better than a 981 with standard suspension. I haven't driven a standard 718.

Guards Red can look pink in some lighting conditions. So much so my brother in law sold his 911 in GR shortly after buying it new, purely due to the number of people who congratulated him with "Nice pink car..."

Carmine is THE one to go for if you want red.

I can't say where ( and you probably don't care) but I have seen the standard Cayman S 19 inch wheels on a physical Cayman 718 and I really liked them...hence I have specced them.

@highscore I think black tips would suit your colour/wheel combo but I presume you have discounted them in favour of the chrome? They will be black anyway after a few blasts smile

What is so special about the 'special' colours to justify the rather hefty cost? I've seen a few lava orange 718 boxsters. They seem to be the launch colour as at least two dealerships I've been to had loaded lava models in the showrooms and there was one at Knockhill at the BTCC last weekend. It looks nice but not £1600 nice over Guards Red!

Exactly why I went for guards red on my CGTS. £1600 is a lot for Carmine imho...

Both look good to me. Carmine probably sways it in certain lights but it isn't even metallic so why £1600?! It's deeper and richer but guards still looks good and £1600 would get you some nice toys.

I'm getting Agate Grey (with red roof and half red interior to get my dose of red) but if I was forced to take a red paint I'd go for the Carmine. The default red is a tad too red for my tastes.

Useful comparison pics, thanks. I thought Carmine was metalic? My mistake.

I would choose Sapphire Blue + Interior in Leather ( Black ) and Sport-Tex in Black and Crayon .
The 718 Brochure ( Page 105 ) only shows Leather and Sport-Tex in Graphite Blue and Crayon .

Would Personalisation allow this combination which is not listed in the Brochure or on the UK Configurator ?

Got a few days before I need to lock in my spec. Delivery expected first week of November.

Fairly happy with it overall. I'm slightly worried I'll regret not going for an interior with deviated stitching but I'm not sure I could keep the crayon seats clean (and neither of the alternative colour options appeal).

Any thoughts on Sapphire Blue with satin platinum Carrera S wheels? It's what I'm leaning towards so far.

Same exterior colour and interior leather combo I'm going for; Sapphire Blue with Sport Tex Black and Crayon.

I'm not sure about the brochure, but this combo is certainly available on the configurator ...

I see leather in Black and crayon, but sport tex seems to only be available in all black (with silver stitching) or Blue and Crayon?

Ah. I'd mistaken black sport tex to be black and crayon.

I will check with my Local Dealer whether I could have Black smooth leather with black stitching for the Interior with Black Sport-Tex for the seat inserts and Crayon leather with crayon stitching for the seat surrounds / door cards and under dash etc .

Viz ... as pages 110 & 111 in the 718 Brochure BUT with Black Leather and black ( not contrast ) stitching and the Sport-Tex seat inserts in Black .

I will report back when I have an answer .

Let us know how you get on.

I am wobbling about Carmine at £1600 over Guards for nothing.....
