I'm already at £64k so wont be going down this road.
I know it's all a matter of personal taste - and I'm very specifically a fan of mid-engine cars - but you could be in a recent 911 with one of those big 6-cylinder engine thingies for that money. No need for the back seats and 64k is at best a 3 year old non S 991. Fancy the newer tech, more nimble car, and the mid engine and a manual.

Does anyone know if the OPC's have any physical cars yet?
My OPC (Bolton) took delivery of a demo manual Cayman this week. Still awaiting PDI when I last spoke to them, but available to try after. Didn't ask if they have an S as well. Will aim to have a look at it within the next few weeks.Customer cars must be around pretty soon, if not already.

If I was buying one of these cars I reckon the best value/driving package would be a base car with PDK, 19" wheels and as few other options as you can get by with. It ought to be away and up the road for not much more than £45k
Once you have PDK, 19" wheels and a few other "essentials" (like OTR costs ) you'd struggle to stay under £48K. For me it's the base car on 18" wheels and a manual box, and I reckon I might just stay under £48k, but not by miles.edo said:
New. What do we think? Not sure it is worth the money. £1700 in body colour, £2k in black.
Sport Design
I like it. In standard not black.Sport Design
Cannot be configured with Sapphire Blue tho
Thinking this is just a Counfounderator thing in need of an update, like Sapphire blue wasn't available as an option until a while after launch.

With the latest additions to the confounderator, I have managed to get a Cayman S up to £94,951.00!! Suffice to say, I think it might lose a fair chunk of it come resale as it is quite frankly hideous.Ian in Halifax said:
Hi Liam I'm only up the road in Halifax my car is due to be built Nov 8 . Will you drop me a line on here when the demo is available to view in Bolton please. I'm x Bolton btw Harwood and Smithills all my life until divorce !
Of course I will Ian. I'm travelling a lot over the next month, so there's every chance you'll get a play in it before I do.Sorry to hear your allocation has moved back. I had already been told "next year", so have said to leave it until the salt's off the roads in March.

Are you saying that the configurator's total price (£39,878 for instance for a base 2.0 Cayman) is not OTR ? LiamH66 said:
No it's not. My OPC saddled me with £490 OTR costs. I'm guessing some of that is road tax, and the rest? Not sure.

Just checked my order sheet. I've got a £410 addition, which when checked the detail is First Reg Fee of £55, and 12 months Road Fund Licence £355.Liam
Not sure how yours got to £490 ...
~
Also just noticed while checking through now that they've stuck on a £599 cost for 'Swiss Vax' ...
Is this the dealer's detailing of the car? Anyone know if I can opt out, as I'll likely be getting it professionally detailed elsewhere.
Thanks guys.
£599 Swiss ste is the cost of them swirling your paintwork.
The fact that they stick it on your invoice without telling you is just so shifty.
Management of expectations at its worse. A bit like the total price not being the total price...
Looking at M2 too and by contrast, the "lesser" brand has a OTR only price policy (and 6 cylinders...).
