It has a 12v socket in the passenger footwell.

The smoking one must be near the gear stick I guess.
The smoking one is located where the open cubby box is on cars that don't have the smoking pack. Don't understand why everyone doesn't choose that option get a nicely finished lid rather than a cheap looking open box. It was a no cost option on 981 but Porsche have cottoned on to giving away something for nothing and now charge £35 for it!

Neil it was the Silverstone Cayman experience day1
they had every colour, I asked them to put the two side by side for
comparison.

same OPC!!!

Any more pics of the gt silver please?

Thinking of not opting leather seats, or pasm and going for 19inch wheels.

Is this a mistake? Are these the must haves and ditch other things instead?

I'm thinking of giving leather seats a miss too.

The half alcantara set up of the standard seats seem quite pleasant to me and its something I can't say I'd notice whilst driving anyway. Would be interested to hear of any real life experience of whether this actually made the car more difficult to shift come trade in time.

Doh! hehe Now I look at the picture again I can tell it's the PEC. Silly me.

Sorry to hear about your lack of build slot. Weird that two 718s ordered so close have such different outcomes. You can come and have a go in mine while you are waiting. drivingyes

I have the half alcantara in my current 981. Really like it. Makes me laugh that the cheapo choice in a Boxster/Cayman becomes the sporty choice in the likes of a GT4 or 911GT3RS.

I recently contacted several OPC's re trading it in (718 on order). Although everyone asked whether it had leather, not one made any comment about not wanting it because it hadn't. In fact if all the forum myths are to be believed I should have the Worlds least desirable 981 as it doesn't have leather, PDK or Nav! None of the OPCs seemed to be bothered what options it had. All were quite happy to take it.

Yes that was the reason I chose the smoker package looks much better and gives an additional 12v socket for phone charging etc. Anyway the open slot it replaces is so small that it is no real use.

Yeah I thought the exact same thing.

As an aside, a family member has a Macan GTS on order and was advised by the dealer against speccing leather (and sticking with the standard alcantara GTS seats as thats more desirable come resale).

I have driven a 718 on 20s with no PASM and the ride was fine. Not a must have at all if you want to keep spec light.

This one is on the 19 5 spokes. Looks good, fills the arches? Unless it has the PASM lowered?

Hard to tell at first in that interior light, but when compared to a walkaround of a Rhodium Silver as in the clip below, you can see that the silver in your clip is darker, so must be the GT Silver.

As per the audio it is on PASM so has a 10mm drop over the standard suspension.

Does that not depend on whether pasm is in sport?

Different issue really as with the GTS the alcantara is the unique part of the interior that cannot be replicated in any of the other models. The lower half of the fascia is half alcantara, alcantara inserts on door trim, and you get "GTS" logo stitched on the head restraints. You lose all that if you opt for leather seats so a great deal of the unique GTS theme is lost, you end up with a normal standard Porsche interior.

No. Standard PASM is 10mm lower no matter what setting you put the car into.

And that's as opposed to speccing Sport PASM, which then drops the car 20mm lower.

Rather than spending extra money on 20" wheels (which are more easily kerbed) and then having to buy PASM to soften the ride I can happily recommend the standard suspension with 19" wheels.

You pays your money and takes your choice! driving
