Thanks both. I was hoping to try it at PEC but they might not have cars before my spec locks.

I have PASM, but with standard 10m drop, the roads round me are st.

Dont like the standard 19s so gone for the Boxster 19s which I actually prefer to the Carerra 20s, and it will ride better.

Cant make my mind up on PTV/Diff or not. Would you really notice it on the road?
Unless you want to blast out of T-junctions with vigour - no.

Rear Wiper, am probably going to have it as I think will be useful, lots of rain in uk & will save me clearing rear window by hand before setting off, mind you £234 is a bit steep !

Other comments re 20inch wheels............As I've never spent 50k on a vehicle before & it's probably once in a lifetime for me, I thought the Carrera S platinum with agate grey car looked great, much better than 18 or 19 inch design.

I think it's all about putting that smile on one's face !
I specifically looked for a 987.2 CS without a rear wiper as to me it just didn't look right. I use Gtechniq G4 then G5, the rain rolls right off smile

For the most part I'd agree - but on those odd occasions, when PSM intrudes, it sounds dreadfully agricultural. I'd go with a LSD if it was more progressive - but I haven't tried PTV to know whether it is.

VERY detailed review by zeeee German. Shows Sport Tex too which I really like (also gives deviated stitching, although I have gone black rather than blue and chalk)

A ton of info there to help while speccing up. Thanks for sharing.

Love the stitching. Hadn't planned to spec Sport tex originally but am now sorely tempted.

Takes me over the £60k limit I set myself though. Hmmmm ...

Has anybody seen a sample of the sport tex seats? From the video I can't hear whether he says the seats are faux or full leather on the side cushions? Not quite sure how the fabric would wear but would look great with my Graphite Blue Cayman S. From configurator it seems that you cannot have the embossed Porsche crests on these seats?

Everything else is full leather, as per full leather interior but with deviated stitching.

I just cant see the point of the embossed porsche logo, so this didnt bother me!

Are you sure because even on the full leather interior option of the 981 and 987 the faces of the seats are leather but the sides and rears are faux leather. Anything you sit on and your head touches is leather anything around the sides is not

I don't agree with what he said about the (non-918) bucket seats though, they are hands down the most comfy seats Porsche make.

Sportex sounds like a great idea, lets your skin breathe more than leather and more grippy to boot.

What makes you think this? My full leather 981 seats are, I'm sure, full leather.

Pretty sure. Have the brochure here. It is as per full leather interior with just the faces in sport tex.

from what I can see the additional options are built to create maximum confusion and the terminology may have changed on the configurator.

1.standard interior - leather seats (but to get this you need to upgrade the physical seats themselves at extra cost)
2.standard interior with leather package (partial leather seats)
3.leather interior - leather seats (no seat upgrade required).

it looks like #1 and #3 give you full leather seats and #2 does not

The sport-tex options give you deviated stitching (Mr.Rance will not be happy) but you also need to upgrade to the sports seats.

I bet they are not if you look closely because I had full leather interior option in both 981 and 987 and the sides of the seats and any material you can see elsewhere other than the face was faux leather. It is very rare for any car manufacturer barring say rolls Royce and Bentley and other 250k type cars to have 100% real cow everywhere.

This is what is leather in full leather.

Smooth-finish leather in interior colour: dashboard upper section including airbag cover, airbag module, instrument shroud, dashboard lower section (three-part) including glove compartment cover, door panel upper sections, door centre panels, door panel armrests, door pulls, centre console main storage compartment lid, centre console side sections, seat bases, seat centres, seat bolsters and headrests. All leather items in smooth-finish leather.

So not the whole seat then. Go and have a really close look at the side of your seats and any exposed "leather" over the back.

When I bought my 987 I had the blue full leather option and specified variagated stitching in white and the white really made it obvious the sides of the seat that you don't sit on were not leather and it was the same on the 981.

I crashed my 987 heavily and it fired the drivers seat airbag and once that had gone off the construction of the seat was clear

Anyway back on topic

Sorry haven't responded, but death in family...........
Anyways great input & now rethinking my seat option as it looks like leather interior/leather seats in black crayon two tone interior the config picture looks like seat surrounds are leather & sitting area looks like sportex but not real leather.

Wonder if you can get agate grey leather interior with crayon or cream leather seat surround with sportex seating area ? as seats won't be cold in winter & won't become sweaty in warm weather.........

Now gone off idea of rear wiper as gtechnig polish would keep window clear, & would keep lines of car clean
