987 Boxster - front creaking noises
Discussion
Hi,
2006 Boxster 987
Got creaking noises at the front usually after driving for at least 15 mins and only when turning the steering wheel/going on uneven roads/etc
Been to a Porsche specialist: told to replace driver side top mount and bearing.
Unfortunately they are away for a long period of time!
Can anybody advise pls what parts exactly do I need to buy in order to ask a local mechanic to fix this for me?
Thanks

I had similar with my Boxster last year. Did some Google research which suggested that it was the lower ball joint on the front suspension that had dried out. The suggested solution was to put a small hole in the rubber cover, squirt in some aerosol grease, clean up the outside and then dab of superglue over the hole to reseal. I did that and I've not had a problem since.
The other option is to replace the lower arm.
I believe there are other reasons for creaking too though, see the other thread.

I had exactly this problem with my 986 and solved it in the same with some Google research, followed by a syringe, grease and super glue. Mine too only creaked once the car was warmed up.The other option is to replace the lower arm.
