I got told Dark Blue was boring but I really like it.

At the moment colour is the only thing I cant decide.

Decided Guards is too Orange for me, but tempting as "free".

So it's

Carmine. Will be rarer and is lovely but 1600 for a flat colour that costs the same as guards grates a little.
Metallic Black. Harder to keep, had my 981 S in Black but looks great.
Dark Blue Metallic. Near as damn it the same colour as my wife's Cayenne. Looks great though.
Guards Red is terrific. https://www.flickr.com/photos/82097736@N00/2068215...

More vibrant than Carmine. Not orange 'in the flesh'. Miami Blue looks good - though that's another 1600 quid's worth. I'm rather a Racing Yellow fan. Sapphire Blue? The metallics are much better value; I'd much rather spend on some practical extras than four figures on paint.

Yup, as it stands. Was on the 19 Box S, but after seeing a few pics of the 5's I prefer them (and they are free!)

Yes, i have been championing these since I saw them on a physical car a couple of months ago and then again earlier this month at the Silverstone PEC .... i think i have finally persuaded edo to get them too as I pointed out that they are free and would be a doddle to clean. smile

I'm quite possibly going to be the only one on 18" Cayman wheels? I like the 19" Cayman S 5 spokes, possibly a little better than the Cayman 10 spokes, but not £971 better. The roads of Lancashire are doing little to encourage lower profile tyres.

Anyone one got any decent photos of 718 Caymans in Carrara White metallic? So far I like the graphite blue, but I think it will carry dirt and scratches badly. GT silver, and actually both the other grey/silver metallics look great. Miami Blue looks great online, but is darker than I'd want in real life. Carmine and Guards Red both look awesome in real life. I love Racing Yellow, but don't think I'm brave enough. And I'm thinking if I replace the current pearl white sports coupe with another pearl white sports coupe "her indoors" might not even notice I've changed my car.

I've gone for the White metallic also. Loved the dark blue with chrome surrounds it totally changes the look of the car. I have a black metallic Golf, big mistake and I'm sure dark blue whilst looking great in the show room won't be durable. My previous guards red Boxster looked amazing as did my Rhodium 911 S, a colour overlooked by many. Rhodium looks lovely with painted grey wheels IMHO.

The blue is really nice. Not an obvious choice but I walked up and said wow. Another chap changed his order from gt silver to blue there and then!
Oh not.....not that dark blue again.....so many Boxster 986's popped out of the factory covered in this paint.....makes the car look so 'boring'.

Really like the graphite blue and those wheels are top, but I really dislike the chrome bit around the window, totally ruins it.
The graphite looks very good when properly waxed, but as soon as it gets dirty it looks very dull and primer like.
I'm in two minds about the chrome strip. Looks most odd from a three quarter angle when you can see none of the other windows have it.

I saw Guards Red twice near Park Lane last week, not sure if it was a test vehicle from Porsche Mayfair? It was pretty quick of course and could not snap a pic while driving! rolleyes
