Splash of yellow here and there, why not. Makes stuff more interesting if nothing else. smile

I've gone for a very monochromatic interior, and went for grey seatbelts to keep with the theme.

Looks great - Exuding massive amounts of downforce to stick on the ceiling like that :-)

Evening all. Long time user here but for some strange reason needed to change user name etc.
Anyway, I digress.
I have a 718 Cayman on order and am shortly to go to lockdown.
I have specced GT Silver but, having recently seen one in Rhodium, I am wobbling!
Third world problem I know but, any views or experience?
All opinions gratefully accepted.

Silver is a strangely rare choice in 981/718 I think? GT is a long time Porsche silver, Rhodium somewhat newer.

I happened to stumble on my Rhodium 981 and fell for the colour. Definitely has a steely blue tinge. A few photos here to help perhaps (careful, some of them are in "dramatic tone" filter):

This is probably the most representative...

Many thanks David.
That really does look nice. Advantage Rhodium!

I went for GT over Rhodium for a couple of reasons...

Mainly because I like the slightly darker hue but also because of it's rarity on Cayman's. Someone on here is bound to correct me but I'm sure GT Silver wasn't available on any Boxster/Cayman until the GT4. And up until recently on the models it was available (911 etc), it was a £1600 'Special Colour'.

Now it's a £558 regular colour and finally available on a Cayman I couldn't resist!

Having owned Platinum silver and Rhodium silver and now a 718C in
GT Silver I have to say I prefer the GT - Rhodium for me seemed too bright.

Many thanks for your feedback re GT/Rhodium silver. Some interesting thoughts.
I guess I like them both hence the dithering!
Currently have an agate 981 so maybe the Rhodium is more of a contrast?
I will let you know, and, again thanks.

That agate grey is growing on me. I never thought it would, I always thought greys to be dull. But there's something about those Porsche greys. Especially with those Carerra Sport 20 inchers.

A 718 with the chrome window surrounds. Wish I'd considered these more seriously before I locked down spec as I think they look great. Suspect they may suit a darker-coloured car like this agate one though.

Is that one on the lower suspension. Looks very purposeful. Can't say I love the window surrounds - but that's why they make them optional.

Silver window surrounds on my Guards Red. I agree they are to personal taste, I like them and think they work better on stronger colours but less so on the lighter more neutral shades (silver/white etc)

i think they work well when the wheels are silver too (like yours), or have some silver highlights (e.g. partially painted) which complement the chrome surround.

what i think is a bit of a fail though is that the chrome detailing is only on the side windows and not the front/rear. i think if all the windows had it then it would make more sense.
