Erm, where's the motor?
Photography course (composition) - refresher course required.
It does show the hard edge on the new wing tho.

Told my buddy to snap a couple of pics of the mountain roads ahead as we were cruising.

I know this is a Cayman thread but thought these photo's might help anybody considering the SportDesign package, I added it to my CS order after seeing it in the flesh! The Carmine car was backed up against the coffee bar so hard to get a proper shot of the rear :

Apologies for the poor picture quality, but I picked my one up today, and thought the rather unusual spec might be of interest. You don't see many base models on standard wheels. Slightly lower as it has PASM (and PTV), and standard leatherette and Alcantara seats are another thing I have not seen so many of. Really pleased with it. As I fired it up in the showroom shouted across to the salesman, "Sounds st, doesn't it?". They don't. They also sound nothing like a GT86, which I had dropped off with its new owner a couple of hours previously.

Francophile registration number. My wife promised to divorce me if I put my private plate on a new Porsche, so I'll have to save it for another occasion.

Vous êtes fou! Yep, excellent. hehe

Congratulations Liam. Worth the long wait I'm sure.

Def. unusual, think the base wheels look great though. A fine example that one.

Enjoy the weekend.

Looking good. Is that carbon interior trim? Looks great with the alcantara and white exterior.

Get out there an enjoy it.

Thanks all, will definitely be enjoying this one, daily driver spec for Lancashire's rather pot-holed roads.

Yes, carbon dash trim. That and the coloured Porsche shields for the wheel centres are the totally unnecessary extras, but I decided to treat myself!

Really pleased for you Liam
Thought from past posts it wasn't due yet
The wheels look really good and so much better than on the configurator but like you say , very few opportunities to see certain options
I went for the turbos .... Expensive and I've caught the rims already and havnt done that on a car for years !!! Really upset me but it will happen again as where I have to park is very narrow to get out of .... The walls and curb are like a kailidescope of other drivers paint !

Thanks Anders. I had hoped the 18" wheels would come with tyres with good kerb protection, and they do (P Zero, available for about £600 a set online, so I am very happy with that choice).

I feel your pain on the parking side of things. I have a parking space by the side of my house which was pretty tight to get the GT86 onto. I christened the Cayman this afternoon. Had to do a 33 point turn trying to reverse it back out, and was so happy once I'd got it all lined up that I forgot about the gateposts and put 2 nasty gouges in the driver's side mirror. Upset, cold sweat, sick and very annoyed with myself. It can stay as it is until I move this summer, if all goes through to a house with ample parking and 2 double garages.

So much for park assist front and rear - dipsticks like me need it on the sides as well!

Rare 718 in Mahogany.

A colour removed from the MY2017 lineup.

Was very tempted to go mahogony when I specced up. Subtle, but I think it suits the 718 lines perferctly.

...until you get into your other car without it, and expect that one to also brake for you!
