It definitely looks better than the 981, softer for sure.
The strip at the back IMHO tones down the higher narrow look of the 981.
There's a picture on here somewhere of a 987 spyder beside a 981 taken from the rear- it really empathises the narrow high look. Granted the low hood on the Spyder gives an extreme comparison.
Anyway the 718 is a good looking car/Porsche!
I am honestly not trying to be argumentative or antagonistic, neither am I biased to the 981 as I love the 718......I simply disagree to 981 looks tall, narrow and high compared to a 987 (981 looks lower and wider IMO) let alone a 718 which is basically a slight facelift. The strip at the back IMHO tones down the higher narrow look of the 981.

But it's purely my opinion......

I do have a wide circle of friends from all walks of life....some are potty mouthed and a little rough around the edges My comment wasn't meant to reprimand you....I was more disappointed that you couldn't leave things be and let the thread get back on track. But I guess I am now just as guilty by adding this post!! Cheers

Will do. My order is for the FOC white so will definitely get a few snaps if I see one. Also If there is a Carrara white one there I will try to get a side-by-side shot for those who are on the fence about which white to get, not withstanding the photographic reproduction qualities of an iPhone.

These helped me choose which I preferred. CWM is more silver/blue and flat white is more cream/yellow:Video of different colours https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kb4k_-YsXAY

I agree that CWM has a silvery hue; but flat white is a pure white. I have flat white and when parked next to my other half's Mini, which is Pepper White (a creamy yellow shade) it is clear that it is a quite a brilliant white. (I know this is all a bit Farrow and Ball.)These helped me choose which I preferred. CWM is more silver/blue and flat white is more cream/yellow:
It looks well with the black satin wheels.
