Neil, what suspension does your car have please?

It looks great by the way.
PASM, which gives a 10cm drop over standard suspension.

I really like the racing yellow dials too.... I really want to spec them on a Guards Red car, but everyone keeps telling me I'm nuts....
Go for it. Plenty of red Ferraris out there with yellow dials. Why not a Porsche?

It was the only part of my spec I was not 100% sure about (because everyone else said yellow was 'orrible). But I'm so pleased I did. Little splash of colour really lifts the all black interior.

1 minute review of my first afternoon with the car in comparison to the 981 2.7 Boxster I've run for the last 2.5yrs and 26,000 miles:

It's much, much quicker.
It's much quieter.
Engine noise nothing special at motorway speeds but PSE sounds great when 'pressing on'.
Love the pops/farts/cracks from the PSE (my apologies to shoppers of the underground 'Red' car park at Meadowhall while I scientifically tested this hehe)
PASM on 20" much smoother ride than my 981 on 20" with std suspension.
Interior quality better (plastic on top of the doors feels almost like leather)
Bose much better than SPP.
New PCM light years ahead of old one.
Friend said quality of mobile phone conversation was much better than 981.
Expected yellow dials to light up really yellow at night but they don't. Look almost black.
Pressing PSE button makes exhaust louder but not much. Have to press Sport as well for the full effect.
It smells nice.

For other's info... PASM & 20s on 718S Cayman extended test drive harsher than PASM & 20s on my 2.7 981 Cayman.

GT Silver? I was looking at Autotrader earlier and found zero silver 2014 2.7 Caymans. It seems a strangely rare colour, maybe because folks want to be "seen" but I'm more than happy with my Rhodium 981.

Very smart. Enjoy!

Yep. GT Silver.

Fancied it on my previous car but as it was a 'Special Colour' on the 981 I was to tight to pay £1600 for it!

You philistine! That's complete heresy!

Just kidding, I think they sound great, and don't they go well?! While we're all asking about your car spec, which seats? Happy with them? I'm not locked into a spec yet, and will be making some tweaks.

Chuffed for you - I think it looks great. Your yellow dials have got me thinking about white ones.

From my recent experience here, make sure you communicate this to your OPC!

Came VERY close to speccing the white ones too. Really ummed and ahhed about that one - the white dials looks great.

But not having seen them in the flesh, so no idea how well they work in day-to-day use and at night etc, I was too much of a coward to take the risk.

What are the tyres that are being shipped on new 718s?

Does tyre size vary between standard 718 and 718 S?

Black Sports Seats Plus. I like the contrast of the silver back to the seat.
