No-one's mentioned the hayward and scott bypass which to me would be a simpler option than carnewal just from a shipping perspective.

Just curious - if PSE is fitted by an Indy , albeit with official parts does this invalidate warranty?

I happen to know where there is a a carnewal exhaust that has been used for less than 4k miles from new....
Next to no difference looking at it, welds in exactly the same place and only possible to tell the mod is done if you study the welds and you know what you're looking for. My car was serviced while under warranty and OPC never even mentioned it. Didn't realise how good it was until I took it off to sell the car frown

I had it recently fitted (November) on my 981BS at Tonbridge Porsche, cost was just over £2k but well worth it. Having had the car since March I wish I'd done it straight away. There are quite a few negative posts about having it fitted with PDK but I've never experienced any droning as described but then I only use the car at weekends.
It is still "as if fitted at the factory"? ie. it's switchable, button by the gear lever, etc?

...or an intact Porsche warranty?

Why Carnewal better? Fit, sound, price?

.they also found the rat infestation/damage which added to the work but again reasonably priced and well executed.

Yes it is exactly as it would be for factory fitted. I haven't had any problems with PDK and the drone but I don't do many long motorway trips. I suppose like others suggest you can use the sport button to keep revs higher/change gear to get out of the range where people complain it is an issue.

Thanks for emails. To those that are interested, exhaust is now listed on ebay as promised.

Sorry for the slow response guys, I use Brooklands (Byfleet), 01932 341911, the best OPC that I have come across and they will discuss discounts without getting huffy hence the reduction that I had for the PSE (plus the same with servicing etc). As stated always worth getting a quote from elsewhere even Indies, Byfleet treat them seriously for all none warranty work.
Keith
I just asked Brooklands for a quote for retrofitting PSE to a 2011 Cayman R and they told me that this cant be done - PSE is a factory fit option only. Seems to be a contradiction here or am I missing something important?
