Never understood the attraction myself but different strokes for different folks.
I was in a black cab going up Park Lane, Mayfair one day, and as we approached Marble Arch the driver said, "'ere mate, get on that thing in front."I looked up, and there was some kind of a 4x4 plated B15 UN, the 5 had been doctored to look like a G, so BIG UN.
The driver said, "He might as well have a bumper sticker, saying, "Not only am I a prat, I want everyone to know it."

Thank you. My only air cooled the moment
I have one in Blue Celeste with 12k miles - its basically new. For 5+ years now its been stuck in a barn behind a several other cars - all in Airchambers. Its on a trickle charger and I start it up every few months...old fuel doesn't seem to be a problem!roygarth said:

Great fun, you should drive it in the summer. For me it's an age thing! Far easier to remember a non dating private plate in the early stages of Alzheimers than one of the new multi digit ones - even better that you don't have to learn another one when you change cars.....bought an 09 Phaeton in July to run the family around in and still haven't a clue what the reg is!
