Anyone want to throw in a suggestion?

Porsche wise heads:
987 Cayman S with a squeak that's driving me mad - because I just can't find it. It's definitely coming from inside & also the passenger/nearside of the car & I'm 99% certain that it's around the boot lid somewhere. Here's what I've done so far:
Removed all the boot lid trim, test driven.
Removed the seat belt tower trim, test driven
Removed the A pillar trim to the boot line, test driven.
Added neoprene cut offs to the rubber bump stops on the boot lid I.e. the ones half way down the boot lid that are known to compress a little over time.
Refitted all the trim, adding felt to every clip to double up on the rattle deadening & for good measure, did the trunk clunk fix on the boot counter weight while I was in there, even though mine doesn't clunk.
I'm honestly stumped for ideas now, short of ripping the whole thing back to the bare chassis. Although I'm sure it's internal, I'm open to suggestions, knowing how notoriously tricky squeak & rattle hunting can be, with sound bouncing round a cabin.
P.s. Not the sports wart, that did rattle, but got the felt treatment long ago.

Thanks Moe, I've already shushed the brake light & been playing around with the bump stops forever.
I had a noise in my 997 that was driving me nuts, I was convinced it was coming from the left hand side of the dashboard, near the windscreenSFO said:
try the gear lever gaiter assembly ..
That's interesting - would you be kind enough to elaborate? turns out the 'skirt' alcantara frame which covers the gear lever was making the noise .. a few pieces of tape here and there, and all was quiet again.
Air con / blower pipes can come away from theit clips inside the dash, I had that issue.
Also it could be the passenger seat? Take the seat out and test drive?
Another option is to take a mate out with you, this is often very helpful as trying to locate a squeak and driving at the same time is difficult!

Thanks, appreciate it. Fokker, if I take the seat out & drive it, will I nor get all sorts of error codes? Passenger weight sensor, airbags etc?turns out the 'skirt' alcantara frame which covers the gear lever was making the noise .. a few pieces of tape here and there, and all was quiet again.

You could lessen it and rest to on a bed of foam to avoid disconnecting anything? Or just disconnect everything then plug it all back in again? In my experience, seats can often squeak as they are subject to a lot of weight a lot of the time. You could also recline the seat back and press it against the bulk head fairly firmly to see if the extra load makes a difference.
I have had two really hard to find and seriously unwanted sounds.
My BMW 3 series used to occasionally clack when turning fairly sharply, like you would into a side street, after much hunting it went to BMW and they had the seats out and there was a plastic toy barrel that had rolled into the vent under seat that blows on the rear passenger's feet that rolled from one side to the other, CLACK.
My current DD 640 BMW is very quiet, over bumps it emitted a clunk, really really annoying, never heard it when I had a passenger so for a while I blamed the kids for playing with the electric seats, I tried loads of different adjustments a little bit forward then a little bit back, bit higher, bit lower, more inclined etc... Oh my it drove me mad, in the end I traced it to the seat belt catch bumping on the transmission tunnel.
Good luck, just think how satisfying it will be when you find it.

An amusing true story. Peter Sellers owned a RR Shadow 1 that had an annoying rattle that came from within the boot area. He knocked on Spike Milligans door. They were neighbours and Peter requested that Spike got in the boot to help identify this really annoying noise. He gave Spike a torch and a piece of chalk. Peter Sellers drove up and down the road mostly half on the pavement in an attempt to identify the noise. Until they where stopped by two bobbies on the beat. Peter Sellers explained his dilemma and one of the bobbies opened the boot. Took one look at Spike and said. I bloody new it had to be you.
