Hi all,
I bought my 07 Boxster February 2016 when it had just had a minor service at 57k miles. It had also had a major service the previous August at 56k. It's now done 73k. By my reckoning, if it's every 20k/2 years for a minor and every 40k/4 years for a major, at this rate it's due another minor service at 77k? Then a major one at 97k?
Does that sound about right?
Any help much appreciated

Jono🙂

If it had a minor last, it's due a major next. Then a minor. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Any oil changes in between? In the states the interval is every year and less miles than you are citing with engine experts suggesting oil at 5k miles.

My lightbulb moment came when Hartech explained that Porsche extended the UK service intervals so that the cost of a 3-year lease agreement looks even better.

As my 987 is a sunny-day car, Hartech do a major service every 4-years with about 25-30,000km and then an annual, oil and filter change by my local garage - which only costs about £100 with Millers nano-tech oil.

Rockster will be along shortly to explain his oil-change regime on his high mileage car. It obviously works!

I would, and do go with the 5k miles oil changes mentioned above. That's on everything I own, from a diesel Ford Connect to the Boxster. 20k is ridiculous.
