OPC - What deal can I get if I take finance?
Discussion
2 years newer. Worth a call to see how much movement possible.

You should get £1k for taking finance, if you pay it off immediately OPC loses their bonus and you'll be in there bad books for ever.
I took finance on my 997 GTS to get a discount...OPC talked me through how to make a lump sum payment to reduce the principal and then a month later make a second to reduce the term. Left me with a loan for a year for I think 1k which has in total cost me £100 in interest I think. The reason for leaving it outstanding is that if you want to change cars in a year is as an existing finance customer they have access to better rates.

Someone on here said if you waited a month then the OPC didn't lose the commission on the finance deal, so you wouldn't be in their bad books. Not tried it myself so I can't personally confirm that.bcr5784 said:

I had Zero percent finance on my Spyder from OPC and was asked to wait a bit before settling the balance. Edited by TheAnimal on Tuesday 21st February 18:48

If I took finance on a 75k used 991 what kind of discount could I expect?
Honestly depends as much on how much they want/need to sell the car as the finance. How long have they been advertising it for ?That said I was going to buy my 997 GTS for cash and got £1000 off because I took finance....paid most of it off a month later (which means the OPC gets their commission). That car wasn't even prepped when I put the deposit down.
I think it's very hard to generalise with a used car.

Thats about 1% above whats available, apr of around 5.6 - 5.8% should be your target
The gf tried haggling but they didn't shift. Reduced the mileage to get monthlies down. Not great, don't know if they take credit ratings into it do they? We have a well specced boxter so thought maybe some wiggle room. She looked at financing through her bank but it wasn't cheaper. Its our first Porsche too. edo said:

Sorry but the PASM and PSE is offset by a marmite grey interior.
OP do you live in Northern Ireland?
To your first question, 2 year warranty is in screen price so they are taking the piss listing that out.
No I live in Nottingham but it doesn't bother me popping over and collecting it. Just a shame I can't see the interior first without committing. OP do you live in Northern Ireland?

As for the listing of the warranty on top of the screen price lets just hope it was an oversight and he wasn't trying a sly one !

And if you think it was an oversight you are a damn sight more trusting of car dealers than I.
