Porsche is now the new Lotus. Im bored of all these overblown porsche,s like I became bored of the Lotus latest editions. I think my current one is my last, just going to buy another brand or the old stuff now.

If only it had a flat six frown If it did, I could possibly see myself in a manual version with no PCM and 918-style buckets. All the sports chassis stuff and no distractions, I'd be up for that.

However, with the turbo 4-pot it has no appeal for me in the slightest.

Sell some more 718 base models, same as the 911T...

Maybe they had a lot of 718 shells left! The sound is awful!

I am so glad i have been lucky enough to come into Porsche when the N/A was still going strong!

I just specced one up to my tastes and it came to £63k.

Ouch.

Like the 91T it's an S without a PCM unit and the bigger engine.

bit like the Cayman S Sports in 2006, nice models but really pointless.

Pah, old news biggrin I beat them to the punch a couple of weeks back by having genuine OEM T red pinstripe fabric put in my other half's 718 Cayman as she liked the difference the modern houndstooth I had fitted to my targa made to the car.

I don't really get this ' Touring ' naming - surely you want PCM,door handles & creature comforts and weight seems irrelevant.Or is it just me ?

T models back in the day were the stters, it's the same now lol
NO one wanted a T then and no one wants them now.

Disappointing... will probably find that Porsche have gotten this one through WLPT and will eventually drop the regular based and the S from the line up. So you will only be able to buy a T or a GTS.
Wasted any kudos or merit in the T moniker for this...sad really.

There is no kudos or merit in the T moniker as far as I can see, on both the 718 or the 911.

Interesting both videos actually seem to give a fair amount of screen time to the engine sound. Could it be the “sound issue” is actually just an urban myth perpetuated on Internet forums ? Surely not, jester lol.

I drove a manual Boxster GTS at the PEC recently../just don’t think the manual box suits the F4 Turbo at all. My wife has a PDK 718 Boxster which is a much better gearbox for the engine. And why a T for the 718 at all ?!

Can’t see if being a success.

I did the same and got it to £53K. I can only assume you ticked a lot of unnecessary boxes or added buckets and pccb to get the price artificially high which completely misses the point of these models.

Do you really think the sound is unedited in those videos!

I added 918 buckets and the leather 'T' package, which probably makes up a good 8k. I would always spec something unique or special to the model.
