There is no kudos or merit in the T moniker as far as I can see, on both the 718 or the 911.
Historically there was... but they have cashed in on this name and wasted the credit.

Was there really though? It was just the base model, nothing special about it.

Interesting both videos actually seem to give a fair amount of screen time to the engine sound. Could it be the “sound issue” is actually just an urban myth perpetuated on Internet forums ? Surely not, jester lol.
Do you really think the sound is unedited in those videos!
The 718 launch video's I watched it sounded very similar to 981 so i was confused when i heard one in the flesh............edited......little bit naughty!

Boxster/Cayman without sound system and hands free telephone.... who's going to buy that...?

I'm going to guess you can spec the entertainment system back in?

This is why I too can't understand the marketing philosophy today because historically the T was for those that could not run to an E or an S.

I'd take the S-PASM over passives but I think we're on the same page wink

Pah, old news biggrin I beat them to the punch a couple of weeks back by having genuine OEM T red pinstripe fabric put in my other half's 718 Cayman as she liked the difference the modern houndstooth I had fitted to my targa made to the car.

That's quite cool, who did that for you?

The "T" actually stands for Transfer.

That's it down the side of the car.
