I tried a DSC unit on my stock GT4 a year or so back. It was an improvement in terms of low speed ride quality but when pushing on it was terrible, verging on dangerous. I fitted it just before a euro trip but swapped it back to the OEM unit after the first day. Car was way better after that.

Admittedly the geo was factory at the time and I have since had it adjusted by Chris at CG. That was a far greater improvement. I suspected that the map on the DSC unit I had wasn’t optimal for my car / set up. But the supplier didn’t seem too interested in changing it or advising how to do so. He did however take it back and give a full refund. I’ll like to try another one but only if it was set up correctly for my car.
I’m on a voyage of discovery with the DSC and in honesty I can understand some of your experience, as the behaviour of the car is a different concept, than it would be with a non-active setup.… it takes some getting used to - so it’s a question of whether or not it’s right for the individual. No question about the ride up to about 5 or 6 tenths, though… it does take the edge off and smooth and settle things down.

Has the asking price (not necessarily selling price) of 981 GT4 gone up the last month or so?

For example, this was on ebay a few months back at £65,000 with no taker...now £71,500.

Maybe sellers seeing overs on 718 GT4 and raising prices. This market's nuts IMO and will take a year to settle once lots of 718 GT4 are hitting the market.

Could just have been the end of year slump - prices always drop at year end and go up as we approach Spring.

I definitely think it's linked to the overs market appearing for the new 718 GT4.

Leave them to it smile

I don't ever recall that being £65k. It should have easily sold at that price with PCCB and 918 seats?

I originally had it priced at £75000.

Looks lovely in my opinion, fair price though the basic dash.

Agree that looks lovely. Rear wing needs painting black for the full Cayman R look though!

(I was ready for a "Cayman R tribute" 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 in Peridot with a black rear wing this time last year. They pulled PTS and most of the metallic colours before my spec freeze, so I ended up with yet another white Cayman.)

hm, I do like that color, price not bad, personally I do like a leather/alcantara dash with color stichting though, but other then that, nice, guess it will be gone soon, first GT4 model = pure maybe more rare then the later model, I guess demand will be good for that at some time.

One could buy a second hand 981 leather dash from one being sold for spares. Not ten a penny but I bet they crop up.

or when its out, retrim that dash? I do not know how Porsche does it and or do they use say the same dash for leather trim? is that what is under a leather dash?

I know that Porsche does old models retrim and of course you can retrim many small parts, like say all those silver parts from that green gt4 dash for carbon, not really expensive if you scroll down for such set? 1.600 $ that is just what i came across so could be cheaper elsewhere, but not bad such change with the silver (personally I think)

The sub 60k 981 GT4 Clubsport seems very much to be in the wild. Invictus motors cornering the market !
