GT4RS - Availability, what’s the latest?

The Ashgood car has been on/off for around 6 months now, as said it's the ex-Porsche GB press car. I'd imagine it to be mechanically perfect but it's had a hard life.
I was offered a brand new car in build from an OPC a week ago out of nowhere, with an expected June/July delivery at list price. Spec was locked and I pondered for a while and ultimately missed out while thinking too long and hard about it, needless to say in hindsight I'm gutted.
I got wind of a new one at Cardiff, however it wasn't advertised on their site, but they had listed it on their socials. Once I'd found it I contacted them but it had sold the day before.
It feels like we're close to seeing these cars reducing back to list/near list price now and it's a case of waiting and finding the right one. Clearly OPC's don't want to take the financial hit but a lot are not moving so time will tell.

love the last seconds of that video, when he floored it a very short while (the RS clubsport) it was so fast, it 'scared' (a wow moment) him a bit and then he speaks it out as respect for that 'little' fast car.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atEJihg3KEA
did they mentioned the weight difference of the 2? or did I missed that.

Definitely a few cars trickling through now, cancelled orders in particular. Suspect that even then when you get down to detail the dealer will be pushing some stuff as “essential” - take your pick from, the watch, finance, ceramic coating, low value trade in/high cost SOR. The other big thing with cancelled order is the cars likely not your colour and will have stuff you don’t want/value and probably stuff you do want will be missing!I was offered a brand new car in build from an OPC a week ago out of nowhere, with an expected June/July delivery at list price. Saying all that and on a positive note, I do see a wee bit of a parallel just now with when I bought my first new GT4 back in 2020. People ahead of me in the queue had pulled out (Covid/economy etc) and I got a new build offer at list with no conditions. Thing is, I had to decide there and then really as they had others waiting on the sidelines. So, if I have any advice to give, keep looking/calling/leaving your name and be ready to go the minute a slot appears….

Personally I think that now the overs has all but disappeared and due to Porsches price hikes the true number of Uk buyers who really want a 718 gt4rs is now pretty small.
I passed on a first car due to lack of PCCB's, then I decided in December 2023 i did indeed want a 4RS with PTS, i had a GT3RS order in aswell but decided that actually the 3RS would suit my needs in touring with pals so pulled the ping on a 4RS instead forging my 3RS order..
4RS gone into Build as we speak, with every option i want ticked, i think i heard a possible delay due to lack of carbon items but no update as yet.
One thing that i read above regarding cancelled orders.. The current residual value of the 4RS are pants, this then become expensive for borrowers not sure why there isnt much appetite from lenders
Im super looking forward to the car landing, cant get enough of the sound

Probably because the 4RS is an unknown quantity, so gets reflected in the residuals.4RS gone into Build as we speak, with every option i want ticked, i think i heard a possible delay due to lack of carbon items but no update as yet.

If at 4 years old it's worth only £78k, what would that make a 981 GT4 worth at three times the age ?
There is always going to be a compression of prices as various models age, but surely this is also a savings plan where the car is worth more than £78k ...
But why would dealers ask people to pay out for a savings plan with their car ?
Is it to leave a deposit for the next car ? Or are they really scared about the future market value ??

4 years was £ 78k Porsche aren’t daft, they wouldn’t of plucked that figure from thin air. That would suggest they are predicting a 718 GT4 RS May have a pic retail value of around 100k in 4 years.
Not bad considering a new base gt4rs is now around 127k retail on the road.

My £108k GT4 MY23 registered June 2023 has a 4 year GVF of £57k and considering 9 year old 981 GT4’s are going for !£70k ish means I’m expecting a higher value than the £78k
Same for GT4RS you would think
£57k seems about right on a 4 GFV Same for GT4RS you would think
That would suggest opc retail would be around the mid 75k after 4 years.
108k 23 gt4 must be a massive spec assuming you mean the retail price plus extras not the overs inflated price?
